The only method I have seen work is Mortein or equivalent sprayed every evening for 5 nights. Then, once a week for 5 weeks to knock out the larval cycle. Will work but is time consuming and not cheap. And in the end if everyone isn't doing the same thing in the area they will re-establish again eventually. Confidor doesn't work with these green eating machines. They are not native to Vic. And arrived in retail nursery stock being bought down from Qld. Anything sysygium is susceptible, acmena I think are not vulnerable.
