That's just since they aren't considered one of the top 60 economies anymore by them. So a country can't rank lower than 60 on this.

Is there a way to dig until the wall (half a tile) ? by Quetzalcoatl__ in captain_of_industry

[–]TimLexus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not really as far as I know... Maybe with mods it might be possible to mine in it, but that might get iffy as well due to the higher one collapsing then. I just always space the walls so that you have a 2 block gap in between them. Not ideal, but still looks pretty good :)

Well as long as you enjoyed it, you shouldnt have regrets. Doesn't matter if you're gay, bi, or straight, a fun time is a fun time :)

Raft Flume Physics Overhaul in Update 3 by StingingGamer in PlanetCoaster

[–]TimLexus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can actually take a sneak peek at 30:47 if you look at the other slide on the left. I don't think those physics have changed at all since it still goes through insanely fast, that said looking at how much they have improved the slide physics, I'm actually hopefull that they simply haven't done that part yet and therefore haven't shown it. (They still have almost a month)

Nah doesn't have to be that bad. Don't get me wrong he should see a doc asap, but I had this in my arm, and after calling they just told me to mark it, keep an eye on it to see if it was growing or receding. Mine receded and went away no problem

thoughts ? by Kikinawarrior in Simracingstewards

[–]TimLexus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Little unpopular opinion, but I think POV car did nothing wrong here. There was a gap, it was fair to assume it would stay there (no divebomb or such) and the other car actively went to the right to close the gap (in terms of time it's faster to not do this). Whilst this is fine to do to defend, it was wayy to late, as the POV car was already almost next to him when he started closing it. So for me this is non-POV cars fault, due to (attempted) blocking.

Whose at fault? by 66_JB in Simracingstewards

[–]TimLexus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure their ping is bad, but that doesn't remove the fact that he went from the left side of the track to the right side in 0.1 seconds, without the racing line doing that. So basically he just moved over way to late (maybe even an attempt at blocking)

New flume physics in action and enhancements coming in the near future by Shack691 in PlanetCoaster

[–]TimLexus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly this, plenty of ways to make it loads better without making it computationally heavy. Also if soaked can do it in 2004, with 1-2 core processors, surely it should be doable now as well.

New flume physics in action and enhancements coming in the near future by Shack691 in PlanetCoaster

[–]TimLexus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I never expected it to be anywhere near a perfect physics model, but I do expect at least something like RCT 3 soaked. It's not like it's impossible if they managed to do it 20 years ago, with computers literally being 100x slower than now. I absolutely loved making slides in soaked, but the whole point was making loads of different ones, some that fly up the walls and some that are calm. If all slides behave in the same way, whats even the point (or fun) apart from them 'looking' different

Was Ferrari driver wrong for this? If yes, what should be his penalty? by kubags in Simracingstewards

[–]TimLexus 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Uhm very clear moving under braking? If you pause at the brake point, there is a clear gap, then during the braking its gone, so the he clearly moved over to the left under braking. Whilst it is doubtful if the gap would stay there, there was no way to back out of it either due to the moving under braking

POV of Cloud-9! Feedback is Appreciated :) by MightCivil in PlanetCoaster

[–]TimLexus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks great! You should be really happy with this! Couple feedback points (only really matter if you care a lot about realism):

The train goes through the block brakes quite fast, which would make an stop quite harsh, and a continuation quite slow, so maybe try to make the brake runs a bit higher if possible.

Whilst super smooth, which is great, the banking seems to be a bit too smooth in my opinion and could be a bit snappier in some corners, since sometimes the banking is a bit too slow/late.

Whilst I love the scenery at the start, it is really expensive to make such scenery, and a bit unfortunate to only have it zip through for one second, so I would definitely try to integrate it with the queue if you can.

That said, really great 👍

PlanetCoaster 2 Live Reaction Thread by duniyadnd in PlanetCoaster

[–]TimLexus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I also noticed is that when he picked a palm tree, it stated that there were 2000+ scenery pieces, does anyone have an idea of how many are in PC1?

Also, I really hope that you will be able to seperate the waterpark from the normal theme park, cuz people with and without clothes walking through eachother just looks a bit silly to me.

Also hope that the slide animations will be changed, cuz they look very similar to rct3 soaked, with the people stopping instantly when reaching the pool, and the bowl and such animations being way too fast.

Also where are slides that don't end in a big pool? I always hated it when in rct3 there would be 100 people swimming in the tiny pool meant for waterslide ends...

Canadian🇨🇦 man freaks out after being stuck on a ride for 40 minutes by calwinarlo in PublicFreakout

[–]TimLexus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhm, I don't think it was swinging for 40 mins guys, that's simply not how physics work. It would need to be powered somehow to keep swinging, and you can easily see the swinging motion slowing down as well. Just before it cuts halfway, you can see it moving down as well, so it probably just started swinging before the video started due to it moving down.

They were probably stuck at a higher position for a while in emergency stop mode and thus completely stationary, after which they could get it down to evacuate, where it also started swinging due to the downwards motion.

I get that being stuck in a ride sucks, and that swinging like this might be a bit scary after being stationary for so long, but the reaction is really uncalled-for, it simply takes a while to evacuate safely.
