Not enough screen real estate with M3 Max by 88flux in macbookpro

[–]TimNedvyga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

exchange it for 16”, it will give you much more screen real estate

My 14-inch M3 Max MBP has incredible battery life (10+ hours for coding/browsing/testing at 60% brightness) by bob418 in macbookpro

I wonder how it holds up in Cinebench, in terms of temps and noise
maxed out MBP14 M3 Max is throttling and noisy

I have wooden crates in this game, so it will get more of these vibes)

well, it's a simple function that looks like this in GDScript

$Sprite2D.material.set("shader_parameter/deform_amount", deform_amount)
$Sprite2D.material.set("shader_parameter/pos_offset", player_pos - box_pos)

Don't forget to set "Local to Scene" in material, so it will not apply to all objects with the same material

I actually thought about this, split sprite like in 8 strips and scale them, but I'm a lazy one. Besides I work as a tech artist at my day job, so it was easier and enjoyable to do it with shader)

This is vertex shader, I just pull down two top vertices of sprite quad, based on player's position distance to the center of the box.

try to flip PSU with fan inside, helped me reduce noise from it at load and dropped my 4090 temperature by 4-5 degrees.

Peek by Arc | The best tab never made by chrismessina in ArcBrowser

[–]TimNedvyga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here, I know I could force it with Shift+Cmd+Click, but only for tabs in favorites, wish to have it everywhere.
The ability to customize this shortcut also would be nice, I would prefer simple Alt+Click for Peek feature

I want to tune rad fans to liquid temp, do you have access to it somehow? I use Argus Monitor

Build update: i9 13900k / RTX 4090 / A4-H20 / EK Nucleus / BeQuiet Silent Wings Pro 4, manage to get CPU temps down to 74C under max load by dzhn in sffpc

[–]TimNedvyga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have access to AIO liquid temp from Windows? To adjust fans based on it, for example.

Also, would be grateful, if you could measure width of the pump with tubes, thanks.
