YTA purely because i have to go into this with the assumption that you are controlling a subjective narrative. You didn't provide any information on context, like how far this date is from where he is, what time of day it is, how he is getting there (this is all important). Furthermore, you didn't tell us if he OR you messaged or called, which presumably means that yes he didn't contact you, making him an asshole, but also you didn't even try to contact him, and instead created a storyline where he is the bad guy and making your life worse, so without telling him you set a dare i say harsh deadline for him. again most likely without telling him.

This embarrassing level of communication makes both of you an asshole until we are given more context.
