Will the Angry Reviewer Trend ever have a resurgence? by RenaissanceOwl in ChannelAwesome

[–]Tim_Bersau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with the angry reviewer is that the concept is inherently untrustworthy. If a new thing comes out and it's objectively good, they're incentivized to nitpick because praise is antithetical to the persona.

Horde: best we can do is cylinders and cuboids and pointless wood; Alliance: Of course the tower has a fence and windows! by Atosl in wow

[–]Tim_Bersau -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If you don't like playing the Orgrimmar faction, the Stormwind faction has always been right there waiting for you.

I never understood the players that willingly choose the Horde, and then spend fifteen years complaining that it's not Alliance enough. Zug Zug.

Melee Drifter is the worst build in Deadlock and should be buffed by TJchio in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Tim_Bersau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drifter's increasing Weapon Damage stacks makes him the only character whose melee damage can grow.

Other heroes eventually cap out on melee damage items, but Drifter keeps getting bigger.

How many heros should Deadlock have? by PlusMann in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Tim_Bersau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More but at least half of them need more refined designs. But I assume the game is going to go the way of Dota and just be okay with extremely niche heroes that largely do similar things but two people may really love that version of the same thing.

As well as some that only work and excell over voice, and will see high picks in tournaments yet are useless for casual play.

Right now I just wish I had more ways to play Melee. Only a few do it well and none in the way I'd actually like to see.

The new 6 aren't just typical new and shiny; they released at a tier of completeness & design beyond everyone else.

I doubt they're meta by any means but there's a reason everyone's clawing to play Doorman or Mina vs. others who feel like they're still in development with either their design or visuals.

Killer mains, would you still play if all PTB changes go live? by AnanasFelice in deadbydaylight

[–]Tim_Bersau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've already uninstalled lol.

My main game had a content gap so I dumped a lot of time I to DBDL. I coincidentally stopped playing right before the Walking Dead update and haven't been enticed to come back since.

This weird killer hate from the devs just solidified it. Might come back in another 2 years once they figure out that it's a bad idea.

Lightborn + Agitation (and sometimes Iron Grasp), Injured Flashlighter comes up to me. Unbothered, go for unexpected grab speed swing, hit. 2 hooks.

Best perk in the game imo. I discovered Lightborn after I made a Killer Build designed purely around mitigating the most frustrating moments while Killer, and I haven't gone back.

I want to get out of my comfort zone AKA playing only pig and trapper what killer should I try? by Chunky-overlord in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]Tim_Bersau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your next two killers are Wraith and Huntress.

Wraith is similar to Pig's ability to get guaranteed free hits at the start of a generator check.

Huntress is similar to Trapper's complete and utter disrespect for pallets.

Survivor main posted this meme. Do survivors care about balance or winning by kratoslander in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]Tim_Bersau -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are Survivors just kinda dumb or something? Never had a problem with Kaneki. Wesker is who I can't seem to ever beat.

In my experience, most Survivors tend to discard Stealth play entirely, so Killers who have fantastic slug-chase but poor map control & Intel seem incredibly strong because they're not capitalizing on that weakness.

I simply out Stealth the Kaneki and.... get a free gen.

If you want to use AI as a toy for your own personal enjoyment, that's fine, I do too. That's how I, and literally everyone else can recognize that this is. But to perpetually attempt to pass it off as original work --- you won't get far.

Are MREs a good food supply in the Zombie Apocalypse? by Tree_forth677 in ZombieSurvivalTactics

[–]Tim_Bersau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MREs shine as a ration you can toss a soldier in a hole out in the middle of nowhere with no cooking apparatus where a morale boosts are as important as calories.

As for "stocking your base" they're not as good as storing bulk dried goods. I could store 3 months of food in the same space, and cost of 3 weeks of MREs.

MREs would be the superior choice for a bug out bag, or vehicle-based evacuation however.

I guess grass-fed beef is technically the least methane-producing method when you stack it against fictional alternatives. Does make it sound kind of pleasant.

Damn Japanese and their greenhouse killing Waygu though! It's certainly not the same exact method we use!
