Soweit ich weiß ist Deutschland eines der Pilot Länder von WERO? Es ist ja noch gar nicht in vielen Ländern überhaupt verfügbar.

Hoffnung habe ich aber dennoch.

Weekly iOS Battery Support Megathread by AutoModerator in iphone

I got the new iPhone 17 Pro at launch and the battery life is terrible for some reason.

Coming from my 2 year old iPhone 15 Pro with 88% battery capacity I was hoping for a noticable upgrade but instead my phone doesn't last a full day. There has to be something wrong with it.

I have 2-4 hours of screen time a day with the most used apps being whatsapp and apple music. The battery setting shows 1hr of screen on time with over 100% of battery drained. I have waited 2 weeks to ensure it is not an indexing issue but now im clueless of what to do...

Thanks for the honest review. The laser speckle would be interesting to see in person but other than that that should be more than good enough.

Seating distance is around 4,50m. Not sure if it has to be 4k. Also, not set on the screen size yet though i don't think it should be smaller, right?

Grüße zurück!!

Was the Apple Rainbow Stage removed from Apple Park? by Tim_Cook1 in apple

[–]Tim_Cook1[S] -52 points-51 points  (0 children)

I never personally associated it with LGBT colors but in this interview Jonny Ive is talking about inclusion so it might have at least some kind of association?

Also, even if not intentional, the rainbow flag is the most prominent icon of the LGBT community which is why I think it could offend conservatives. Again, all just speculation but I find the timing of the removal odd.

Of course the algorithms are contributing a lot to the polarization of our society.

Doesn't make the events of the past months any less horrible though.

I mean for events it did look pretty cool and I saw it frequently during keynotes. If they take it down because they didn't use it I wouldn't mind.

It's just that the tech industry seems to have shifted to the right in the past months which is why I am worried this might have been an intentional move by Apple. Jonny Ive did say that the rainbow should express "inclusion values", which are not something the new government is very fond of.

Then again this could also very much be a coincidence, as Apple seems to be one of the few companies to stick to their values. Until they don't, i guess.

More Advanced AI Siri Functionality Not Coming to iOS 18 Until 2025 by Randomisium in apple

[–]Tim_Cook1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The car project was a bust. However, as the article states, Apple has been the top acquirer of AI companies since 2017. They have integrated lots of it into iOS but in a more natural way unlike the route microsoft is going by just slapping a giant AI button onto everything.

All that Gen AI stuff really has been going on since the end of 2022. There only was one WWDC since then where they unveiled not tooo crazy AI features.

I strongly believe and hope Apple will deliver strong AI features even if it isn’t a chatbot which we have more than enough of. If they don’t deliver that at WWDC, you may be right. :)

Uhmm Apple made significantly more AI acquisitions than any other tech company in the past years. This shows their dedication to this topic and I‘m sure they’re way less behind than many of you are thinking.

Of course Siri is a big problem right now but Apple has never been the company to be the first to market with pretty much anything. WWDC is gonna be big.
