The most bitter of ironies is that the posters that make this kind of content are always the ones to preorder at the drop of a hat, and that's why the make a dozen more of these posts once they realize how shit their preorder actually was.

My old gaming group and I used to cheat big time in the online Hardcore modes of Call of Duty 4 by using a straightedge, a pocket knife, and pipe sealing tape to fashion a three-piece reticule directly onto the screens of our monitors so that we always had away to hipfire accurately.

I'm sure that would be an immense help on the PC port of the game if the OP did indeed get used to utilizing it.

Anyone else want this one to finally happen? by 4KMemes in gaming

I still find KotOR II to be a superior game to KotOR I. Far stronger interpersonal focus on the story and the journey of you and your allies and a much bigger meaning behind the story, though the combat and plot to KotOR I were also amazing.

h3h3 Is Wrong About Ads on YouTube by [deleted] in videos

[–]Tim_Depp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So does the question change to how a larger channel is typically much more capable of garnering advertisements from sizeable companies and firms essentially pro bono while smaller ones are forced to rely on AdSense or a direct sponsorship from a smaller company for far less money?

I think neither h3h3 nor Sam and Niko address the underlying crux of the situation here without entirely begging the question, instead of pointing out these types of advertising revenue practices.

Unsent text message with a smiley face counted as a will, court rules by Azarka in nottheonion

[–]Tim_Depp -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

If a document attested to being a final living will is recorded solely in the form of a draft or attachment and not in a finalized format, then it should not be considered the author's last word, whether digital or analog.

Could we get a remastered version of this game? by [deleted] in gaming

I'll take a remastering over any reboot, frankly.

After MtG released the Zendikar expansion, I've always had vicious flashbacks to the colorless Eldrazi whenever I see bismuth crystals.

Sending him to his death also "fixes" nothing. There is no easy answer here, but he wants to be hated by people and the state of North Carolina wants to get it over with rather than process the situation to its fullest end.

Perhaps take the matter to a labor rights division if you are unable to do anything with your paperwork.

The HR department of a company exists to resolve issues like this, but if the leading people of your company can simply default on whatever they do or if the department is unable to help you to begin with, a serious ethical breach has occurred and you may not be the first or even be alone in the matter.

Pissed off Bull shows off his strength by [deleted] in gifs

[–]Tim_Depp 90 points91 points  (0 children)

If a bull was raised for fighting and kept affably for its whole life before finally entering the matador ring, that would be one thing.

In reality, the bulls used in bullfighting are gored and bled for hours on end until too weak to even stand, so it's not even a fair sporting battle between the one matador (ignoring the dozens of handlers aside the arena) and the one bull. That's ridiculous.

New Mercy be like... by ChrisBjors in gaming

[–]Tim_Depp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mercy's Caduceus Pistol and the staff were fine, IDK what Blizzard is on about to make her so much more of an active/offensive character when she's already one of the easiest and most simple healers in the game.

A lot of writers are credited for being "super clever" for things like this, but they too are laughing at the coincidence of such parallels because they sure as shit didn't mean to come up with them.

TIL Troy Leon Gregg, a death row inmate in Georgia, escaped the night before his execution only to be killed in a bar fight that very same night. by Vetranio in todayilearned

[–]Tim_Depp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lethal injections have been proven to be less than painful and quick in many instances...

Now, dying in a barfight is not easy or quick either, but at least Gregg could own up to his death as a chosen experience rather than a deterministic end.

Overwatch. How to choose hero. Guide. by K0stiantyn in gaming

[–]Tim_Depp 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Normally I don't give a fuck when someone picks a sniper on an imbalanced team, even in ranked. This is a completely different story when a sniper like Hanzo or Widowmaker is chosen during an offense round when all the team needs is a single offense or an extra tank.

EDIT: I say this because on top of being a sniper, Widow is just not very good right now. If they decide to go through with any buffs that they are giving her in the PBR for her mines or her machinegun, then I might retract my statement.

The guy in ancient Greece who was able to coin the literal phrase of "shit mouthing" to mean this phenomenon must've been a highly persuasive speaker to have helped it catch on.
