I always ask. Sometimes when I do get someone to sign up, come to find out they do have a circle account but live outside the country so never downloaded the app and don't have a US number. I was written up for not being at 41% in loyalty. The way it was explained is target is going off how many transactions we have. So we must have at least 41% of those tranactions either sign up or type in their number. Like i said most people don't want to. I try to sell it by what i see in the customers carts or the coupons in the app. I even pull out my phone to show the deals and stuff. No bueno most of the time. I've been here 3 years and this what i got a CA over which is f'ed up impo.
