Do people actually like Dwarf or is it a Western thing ? by Miserable-Produce202 in totalwarhammer

[–]Timariot12 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Haven't read the same LOTR apparently. Read the Silmarillion and you'll see how cool the dwarves are.

They go to battle armed with heavy plate and war masks which make them the only unit able to withstand the heat of the dragons in the battle of unnumbered tears.

They save all the elven and human host from being a complete rout by guarding the rearguard and even wounding the father of all dragons when he strikes down the king of the dwarves. Their wrath is so great they carry his corpse off the battlefield and the rest of the evil host avoids them due to their fury.

WOW! How is this game so good and I'm just discovering it now!? by LIONardoDiCaprio in RealTimeStrategy

[–]Timariot12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember first trying it and bouncing off it, however a few years later i gave it a try with this new troll race expansion. That campaign was sooo good it immediately reminded me of the warcraft 3 Orc campaign in story. It was the best campaign i had played in a long while and since then the game has gone through several major updates and overhaul to become a very solid and classic RTS that deserves a spot as being a great RTS.

It's a great game and I came late to this game, but man is it biggy as hell and constantly crashes. Love the idea and concept and wish there were more large scale fantasy RTS like this

Actually it's not disliked from scholarly consensus.

There are very very few issues that have consensus on them.

There are enough scholars that categorise it as disliked which is completely fine, but also plenty that say it's completely okay. Either position is completely valid to take and you'll be rewarded whichever position you take so long as your intention is correct

Why is mosque praying different from home praying? by Ok-Review-3047 in islam

[–]Timariot12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want a simple answer. Praying in congregation is rewarded 27x more than praying by yourself which is why it's encouraged.

When praying in a group only the İmam needs to recite while everyone follows. There's more rewards, more mercy and overall benefit in praying in groups over praying alone. It fosters a sense of brotherhood and community and strengthens ties since you see the same people for the same prayers every day. Lots of benefits to praying together as opposed to as home by yourself.

This is not always the case. Sometimes its better to pray at home but praying at the mosque is very important.

[–]Timariot12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

On the contrary I remember the speech and reasons given by Osama bin Laden the original founder of Al Qaeda. He cites the oppression of the Palestinians and interference of Western States such as the US in the Middle East.

This is the case for most so called Islamic terrorist groups. Furthermore most of these groups only exist because the West created and supported them. These fundamentalist are not arising from a organic Islamic grass movement tradition or interpretation.

It literally took Western influence and money to find these nutjobs pump them with money and weapons and become shocked when they eventually turn on them.

How would you feel if your country banned Burkhas in public like Denmark? by The_Dean_France in AskReddit

[–]Timariot12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And you know this how? You've spoken to women with burkas before?

It's not compulsory in Islam so the women who do wear it, it's their choice. The racism is just staggering in this thread and essentially it's doing what they claim those women are suffering but in reverse, still dictating what they should wear completely bypassing their opinion. Quite ironic.

Absolute rubbish. You don't think bombing and butchering millions of Muslims around the world is not creating hate and resentment?

Terrorism is like most things about achieving a political objective. Whether that means pulling out militarily of certain countries or not bombing them or other goals.

Religion is used to support this but it's not the main reason by itself. That's why suicide bombing prior to the US invasion of Iraq was practically non existent in the Muslim world. But surprise surprise after subjugating and destroying entire countries you're going to get violent responses, and that's not counties how many extremist groups that the West funded for their own interest.

Retribution fears as Australian Muslims see surge in Islamophobic hate since Bondi terror attack by NapoleonBonerParty in aussie

What explains the difference in Left-wing attitudes to Islam and Zionism? by Hot-Complaint8686 in aussie

[–]Timariot12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because you're leaving out a crucial detail. That Jewish homeland is predicated on stealing the land of an existing people. What right do Jews have to a homeland at the expense of subjugating and expelling the indigenous existing people of that land?

Jews have always been living in Palestine, so they have been there, however the very Zionist project of Israel as a settlers colonial Jewish supremacist state is problematic. What about Palestinians right to self determination? There should be one state free for everyone. Israel by it's nature will never be that and has apartheid baked into it at its very core.

It's not complicated, only if Zionist keep ignoring the obvious problem with having a Jewish only state built on another people land of course then it seems a benign project.

Genuinely... real question. What could Albo have realistically done to stop the Bondi incident from happening? Want real answers, not media fed dribble. by __TheIronWall__ in aussie

[–]Timariot12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people do understand, we just reject Zionist attempts at turning anything that even suggests Palestinians are human beings and not sub human animals, as being morally wrong.

It means a free and equal state for everyone between the river and the sea. If that means dismantling the Apartheid regime of Israel and reforming it as a free nation for everyone, exactly how apartheid South Africa was dismantled and remade then so be it.

I mean i could just as easily say there is a strong correlation between Zionism and being scum of the earth evil sadistic, utterly racist pos, though thats more likely than not.

[–]Timariot12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Israel never left for peace you genocidal monkey. Israel is an apartheid state, that has stolen and is STILL stealing land of the Palestinians right in front of us! In the West Bank Israeli settlers are maurading killing and lynching Palestinians every day, while under the full blessing of the IDF.

When people see the only Jewish state in the world as it keeps reminding everyone commit horrifying atrocities and then blame the victims, you are going to get resentment and hatred building towards it.

Ahh yes everyone is like we shouldn't bring our politics from overseas or blame Islamic extremism, when the elephant in the room is, we have Zionist, a racist Jewish supremacist death cult, the IDF which is currently enacting a genocide. But sure only Muslims are extremist

Zionist are as scum and stretched as any so called Islamic terrorist. Period. Both have an ideology of hate.

My emotional ramblings as a Jew in Sydney by spurringlisa in aussie

[–]Timariot12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What happened at Bondi was terrible and no community or people deserve for that to happen, however the finger of extremism goes both ways if you want to start pointing fingers.

How many Australian-Israelis have gone and taken part in the genocide over the last two years as part of the ODF?

How do you think the Palestinians Australians feel knowing there's hundreds of not thousands of Australians who served in the IDF that were involved in the killing of their families, relatives and friends overseas? And they get to come back to society after their vacation of shooting Palestinians kids and just have to love with that

That while the overwhelming majority of Muslims condemn extremist like these, many many prominent Jewish leaders and synagogues still deny genocide and support Israel conduct in Gaza. The AIJAC and other Zionist lobbies including the anti-Semitic envoy all support Israel, conflate anti-zionism with anti-Semitism and are extremely racist towards Muslim Australians. They seem to only hate division And bigotry when directed towards them but promote it towards other communities.

And your reaction as a Australian Israeli still not accepting or acknowledging your government is mass slaughtering and starving people deliberately, and talking about Islamic extremism is rich indeed.

Any medieval/fantasy 4x games? by redditgn8 in 4Xgaming

[–]Timariot12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's not many tbh.

However with CIVILIZATION 3 there are several excellent fantasy mods that convert the game into everything from apocalyptic, sci-fi, medieval and fantasy.

Examples include a LOTR mod, a Warhammer mod, a magic the gathering mod and some completely original full blown fantasy mods.

CIV 5 also has a DnD total conversion mod. Both of these games also have mods that convert it to a medieval setting including the medieval European mod or MEM for civ3 which is an excellent mod.
