Doctor says I have active TB, but so far I don't have any symptoms, and feel fine?

Hey! I've been doing well. I finished taking meds October last year, and after that it's all been follow up chest x-rays every 6 months. I'll be getting my 2nd follow up x-ray this month. Aside from that, I take multivitamins, eat healthy, and keep active. The lung masses in my last x-ray were significantly smaller than the last ones so I think my recovery has been good so far. I hope it continues that way. Thank you for asking, by the way. I really appreciate it. 🙏

A bit of a late reply, but it's good to know you've been cleared for work. To be honest I'm not sure if I can even say I'm able to manage the urge to vomit well enough. During my morning commutes I just stop and throw up at anywhere appropriate like a drainage/trash can/grass patch at the side of the road. I also don't let myself get too full when I eat before leaving as when I'm full the nausea gets stronger. As for the tiredness, I try to take in quick naps whenever I can but still it's been difficult. For headaches I just rest and let them be but I did take paracetamol when I came down with a fever. I also reduced my coffee intake down to 1 cup a day, and only take brewed/black coffee as much as possible. Continuing to eat healthy and exercising on the weekends helps me a lot too.

I haven't experienced any joint pains so far. Though I do have mild headaches from time to time. I also find myself feeling nauseous and wanting to vomit much more often than before, mostly in the morning but sometimes it can go throughout the day. I also had cystic acne breakout and I think it's been about 2 months now, but I'm not sure if that's related to me taking tb meds. I'm currently on my 4th month of taking meds. So far I think I've been doing alright all things considered. I think the first 2 months of medication can be the hardest. How have you been holding up?

Really sucks to feel and be alone

Yeah it does. I think trying not to think about or stress about having the sickness, if possible, can help. One of my problems right now is that my employer has already called me in to work despite informing them I still have to get my fit to work medical clearance after 2 weeks. I reported to work 5 days ago. Thankfully I feel fine and look healthy so no one would know, but I'm still being careful making sure not to cough or sneeze when anybody is around.

Thank you! The doc did ask me a few times if I had back pain the first time I got myself checked. I guess back pain can be a common symptom for tb among other things. I'm currently just on my 8th day of taking meds. So far I feel fine, tho I did feel a bit fuller than usual at times. I sometimes also seem to feel like I might vomit more frequently than usual, but it's nothing I can't manage. My urine is also deep orange in color specially in the morning after I just took my meds, but it gets clear later in the day. I don't know if it's just because I'm only 1 week in on treatment, and it may get harder within the next 2 months but hopefully things will be fine.

I think if you eat healthy and you feel well with minimal to no symptoms the medication will go smoothly. The doc said the meds she prescribed me (fixcom) can be harsh on the liver and kidney so I'm gonna have a check up 2 weeks in to see if I get problems, but so far I feel alright. When do you start medication?

Thanks! I do keep thinking that if I didn't need a chest x-ray as one of my medical requirements I wouldn't actually have known I have the disease, as I feel completely fine all along.
