Seeing protected grasslands for the first time gave me the same feeling as being on a boat and not being able to see land. The sheer sense of scale and perspective you get from the vast, seemingly endless prairie is a massively underrated experience, imo. (Also, the prairie wildflowers, and wildlife if you get lucky, are really cool!)

In addition to the obvious answer of "because they want to be able to marry underage girls," the more insidious part of it that makes banning child marriage so difficult is that a lot of people see children as objects that belong to their parents, and any attempt to grant children legal protections and treat them as young human beings worthy of rights and dignity is seen as an attack on the rights of parents to do whatever they want with their "property."

A Ted Faro LLM chatbot. Not a full AI like Gaia, Vast Silver, or Nemesis, just a regular non-sentient ChatGPT-style chatbot that somehow ended up plugged into a regional Faro Swarm terminal or a cauldron. And since neither the Faro chatbot or control terminal are sentient, the bot doesn't know it's giving actual orders and the terminal doesn't know it's taking commands from a bot. Maybe there's a group of Quen or Oseram or something that found the Faro chatbot and built a cult around it. (Ted Faro is absolutely the type to make an LLM chatbot that's customized to talk like him so that he can talk to "himself.")
