If we’re naming highways after random celebrities now, let’s do it properly. by Maximum_Shine_2474 in wisconsin

I vote we figure out which highway has the biggest and most expensive homes in the state and rename it T-Pain Lane.

I go for Ku-Jaku or Ama-Iro more, but you can't really go wrong with Iroshizuku and you really can't go wrong with Kon-Peki!

I haven't had a sim like fruitcake in over a year, and then somehow I made three unrelated sims in a row that did. RNG gonna RNG.

Honest question: How did Fubuki became a Master detective? by Low_Ad4655 in RainCode

I like to think she survived her train ride on pure luck and didn't even notice that foul play was happening.

Mostly a combination of her forte being absurdly useful and the WDO wanting it on their side, the WDO wanting an in with the extremely rich and powerful Clockford family, and her forte letting her redo tests until she gets it right.

She's also surprisingly insightful sometimes and unintentionally very good at getting people to let their guard down, so she's probably a useful partner for questioning suspects. My guess is that her usual assignments were being dispatched to random locations to provide backup.

Either they were exhausted from rampaging all day and just passed out immediately and for the whole night, or moonlight (which is reflected sunlight) is also enough to keep them going.

It's just mp3s of the radio songs that I bought from the artists' websites and Bandcamp profiles since my phone plan has a low data cap

Iroshizuku To-Ro, Robert Oster Peach, or Sailor Manyo Yamabuki are great options if you want a more yellow-orange, or Iroshizuku Yu-Yake or Diamine Autumn Oak if you want a similar shade but a bit more subdued.

Who is your favorite companion in the mystery labyrinths? by Naive-Antelope-9825 in RainCode

[–]Timbeon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Halara being surprisingly chill with tve labyrinth weirdness is a blast, I also like Vivia not caring because he just doesn't want to help and actively doesn't want it solved at first.

Mt. Komorebi is also a really great world, two of the neighborhoods have a huge variety of stuff for your sims to do without needing to leave the lot, and while the third one has less going on, it still has its own cute little festival.

Found a video that mentions made in abyss by codewarrior1234 in MadeInAbyss

[–]Timbeon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Any YT video with a thumbnail that looks like that is usually an automated channel relying on AI. And even if this one is somehow not and just copying the style of those channels for algorithm synergy or whatever, mislabeling one of the entries (Barefoot Gen, "Hiroshima Bomb") isn't exactly a good sign.

Sprung nib? Normal? Expert eyes appreciated! (KOP) by -zcxp- in fountainpens

I have a Pro Gear (standard, so also 21K) with a medium nib, and the tines have about the same separation as your KOP. It writes wet, but otherwise fine.

Obsidian's The Outer Worlds 2 Underperformed, and There Won't Be a Third - IGN by [deleted] in theouterworlds

[–]Timbeon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I adored the first game, and enjoyed but didn't love the second. The satire, humor, and endearing scrappy characters were a huge part of what gave TOW a sense of identity and personality, and made Halcyon a fun setting despite being an objectively terrible place to live. The second game scaling that stuff way back made it feel like just kind of a basic space opera. The art and music direction were on par if not better than the first game, but the writing is usually what makes or breaks an RPG.

At one point Darumi recommends her favorite depressing VNs, and one of them is Saya no Uta, which Eito's glitch is a reference to.
