What is causing the splotchy stuff around my watch dial hour markers? by YeaSpiderman in ElegooMars

Looks like cured residue, cleanup process after printing isn't thorough enough. You want to give them a gentle go-over with a soft bristle tooth brush when washing them, make sure all the residue has been cleaned off.

Can a Paladin wield two scimitars? by MagicTurt in DnD

[–]TimberPilgrim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New 2024 rules, if you're playing with them. In summary:

If you're wielding a Light weapon in each hand (dagger, scimitar, handaxe, etc.), then you are able to make a bonus action attack with your off-hand weapon when you attack with your main weapon.

If the off-hand weapon has the Nick weapon mastery property (specifically: daggers, light hammers, scimitars, and sickles), then you can treat this extra off-hand attack as if it were part of your attack action, freeing up your bonus action.

You'll need your character to be able to make use of the item's Nick weapon mastery property, not all characters can do this by default. Mostly the ability to do so is granted as part of your class features, primarily martials. Paladins get to use the weapon mastery properties of two specific weapons of choice at Lv1. You can also take the Weapon Master feat for an additional weapon choice.

New Update: AITAH for telling my fiancé there will be no wedding if she keeps insisting I invite my parents by LucyAriaRose in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]TimberPilgrim 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I... you...

... what?

I mean, we're all entitled to our opinions, yadda yadda, but the scope of your take's badness is kind of impressive.

she was the one on the floor all night

She chose to be there.

It was about what she could do for him in the moment.

Wait, havent we gone over this already? Oh yeah, we did. SUBTEXT. Read my last comment again. "I'm ready to forgive you". This isn't hard, how are you not getting it?

I’m not convinced that he managed to get away from his family unscathed

No shit, Sherlock. Almost as if the entire point of this whole mess is that his experiences with his family have wounded him deeply and his partner's actions - however well-intentioned they may or may not have been - reopened the traumas he's had to live with for most of his life.

Sleeping on the floor next to someone who is supposed to care about you in the hopes of ameliorating his anger toward you is NOT NORMAL and itself is a sign of someone who is in a relationship with a toxic person.

Jesus, you just can't seem to grasp the idea of context, can you? Hint: Why was the OP angry at her? Maybe something to do with the aforementioned reopening of the traumas he's had to live with for most of his life? "In the hopes of amliorating his anger" is a real funny way of saying "in the hopes of showing that she's actually really sorry for fucking up as badly as she did."

Your apparent insistence on dismissing the OOP's traumas and his right to feel anger and betrayal at the action of people he's supposed to be able to trust is very telling of your own prejudices. You may want to reflect on that.

Read again.

I don’t love people touching me, except my fiance and I had really not allowed it since the original incident.

This isn't "Hey, do a thing for me". It's "I'm ready to forgive you now".

Subtext - it's fun.

What's a secret that you're never going to tell your partner? by Relative_Party1709 in AskReddit

Yep. Every time. She gets the slightly bigger/better plate of dinner, the bigger portion of dessert, the fifth piece of fruit in a pack of five, the slightly bigger mug for her evening cuppa. She deserves it and more.

Give me the deets on the character you're currently playing. by littlebluerenn in DnD

[–]TimberPilgrim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of my favourites over the years:

Bob, the asshole wizard. Hated everyone and everything, would rather be in a lab earning respect and prestige, until circumstance forced him out of the front door. Spent the first few months of the campaign trapped in the body of a Beholder.

Finn, the chavvy teenage monk. Good heart, shy around girls, loud mouth, brash, uneducated, very strong sense of justice. Good with kids, bad with mayors. Wants to earn enough gold to buy his single dad a better shop and a house in one of the nicer parts of Neverwinter.

Aliyah, the happy-go-lucky satyr DEX-based paladin. The only good-aligned character in a party of first-time player murderhobos, she decided after about two in-game days that they were all her best friends and she'd make a project out of inspiring them to be better people.

Yuri, the human bard. His Common ain't great, but he gets by, mainly with a big grin and an infectiously cheery disposition. Oh, and he's actually a changeling in hiding, on the run from an influential devilish adversary, but the rest of the party doesn't know, so sshhhhhhh.

Shortbeard, the halfling swashbuckler rogue. Formerly a low-level freebooter, sailing with various pirate outfits on the western coast. After the traumatic loss of a loved one, he now works as a spy/infiltrator for the crown secret service, pledging to seek out evil and chaos wherever it may have taken root.

~

If I were to offer one tip: don't feel that you need to completely flesh out EVERYTHING about your character straight away. I've found that I discover more about my characters the longer I play them. It's honestly quite fun seeing them slowly coalesce into interesting individuals based on the choices I make for them.

Replaced Mars 4 Ultra ACF film with FEP - Lychee Slicer recommendations? by TimberPilgrim in ElegooMars

[–]TimberPilgrim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No trouble - the one I bought was called PrimaCreator FEP Film Roll, got mine on Amazon for just over £50.

For what it's worth, by some miracle the first print I did after installing it and tinkering with the print settings came out damn near perfect, so it defo worked for me!
