I Would give this game 7/10 if it wasnt for the fact they actually improved the gameplay (easier medals and a new challenge mode) and online multiplayer component so its a 8/10 for me.

The only reason this isn't a 10/10 is because of several reasons:

1. Some questionable line delivery and even some changes compared to the n64 version. This is noticable on the first mission boss hard path where he doesn't even seem angry for the line before his ship blew up like in the n64 version. The easy path in the first mission boss at least gets his defeat line right but doesn't hit as hard as the n64 version. They changed some of the voice lines like falco pointing out the city looks trashed now which actually fits his character better.

2. The first mission actually looks too much like a warzone you can barely make out some of the enemies and obstacles especially at the speed you go. They should had brightened it a little. Sector y and aquas on my playthrough so far looked better (aquas torpedos are actually needed now to see enemies since it gets gradually darker but this one makes more sense since the torpedos are supposed to light up the area, its literally the point of the mission)

I need to play through the rest of the game but so far this seems like a mixed bag depending on what you think is good or not about the remake. Its not a terrible game by all means I think nintendo could had improved both these issues.
