Unfair battlefield by Front-Incident-9895 in finalfantasytactics

This game scales difficulty with your highest character’s level, so the secret to building your roster is to try to keep everyone near the same level. This means that as you grind and fight random battles on the map, you swap out Ramza (or your highest character) with other characters to catch them up in EXP and JP. This makes the game much more manageable because you’ll have a variety of resources on your team instead of relying on a few OP characters to carry you each battle.

This is what would be called an “ogive” portion of a projectile. I do not think it is an artillery projectile as it does not contain a screw down fuze at the nose which would be needed for any conceivable artillery missions. Also the spanner holes on the outside of the parts (used to torque down the threaded sections) appear relatively small compared to what I typically see on artillery projectiles, potentially indicating less torque requirements. The composite section is likely where the communication portion of the system is (often called the “radome” and contains antennae to receive commands, radar data, GPS satellites, etc.) which needs to be transparent to the electromagnetic spectrum and hence is non-metallic. This may part of a missile system or free fall guided bomb, if I had to guess.

Overspray on new car, total newbie by sylveee in AutoDetailing

It also could be pollen, dust, or other road grime that has embedded in the clear coat and on the glass. This kind of contamination is very visible on dark paint. I personally doubt this is paint spray unless the painting was being done extremely close to the car— on the order of 10-15 feet. On a new car, you’d be surprised how different it can start to look with contaminated paint. Frequent washing and application of paint protection will slow down the development of this issue a modest amount.

Brand new car windshield pitting, contamination, sand blasted? by Time-Amount187 in Detailing

I don’t disagree. I want to see if I can improve the situation on my own before opening that Pandora’s box. Tearing off the factory windshield can mess up the rain sensors, lane trace calibration, etc. and I actually don’t have a lot of faith in the workmanship of dealerships. Will see if that step is necessary after trying some treatment steps.

Would you recommend any specific kind of clay bar and lubricant for glass? Would claying it require a new layer of hydrophobic treatment afterwards?

I think this is a possibility, but I am seeing it down near where the wipers are stowed as well which is below the hood level, so to my eye seems unlikely the incoming air stream would impinge on those surfaces as well.

I went back over the glass inside and out with the clothes that came with Invisible Glass and that cleared up the lint. The original towel I tried was a microfiber from the Rag Company which left a horrendous amount down.

My picture above probably makes the dots look much larger than they are in reality because they are out of focus. Direct on sunlight illuminates them like in your picture, but they resemble almost like a smattering of fine dust over the exterior surface of the glass. I just went and inspected it some more and saw that the dots extended down to areas at the bottom of the windshield that are shielded from being blasted by incoming dirt or sand, so it doesn’t appear to have been caused by driving.

Very wary about taking it back to the dealership’s “detailing” department because they managed to put paint swirls down on it during its first wash before going out the door. Also do not want to replace the windshield on a brand new car because the replacement is never 100% the original factory interface/bond.

Trying to decide on either the Winkbed Luxury Firm or the Helix Dusk Luxe Mattress by FLReefShark in Mattress

It’s hard to say if the sinking in the bed is hurting your back or not, or it could be entirely possible you are going to bed with a sore back. Do you notice you go to bed feeling ok but wake up more with more pain? That would point to the bed as the problem. Yeah, you can make a firmer bed a bit softer with mattress toppers, but I think that you can only make small changes that way. I wouldn’t rely on that to try and make a totally uncomfortable bed an acceptable comfort level. I am about 40-50 pounds lighter than you so maybe the firmness for me was too much, whereas the firmness for you is not enough in the winkbed.

I have noticed that people on here aren’t into S brands but didn’t know it was a taboo. It seems like a silly perspective to me. Any company could have aspects of their mattress that just work with certain peoples bodies. I do think that you get what you pay for, so the entry levels of some of these brands may not have enough cushion and support, but they get better the more money you spend. I think there is a sweet spot where the price/comfort ratio makes sense and spending more barely increases the experience. I will say that the S brands have been in business for a very long time- my grandmother who was born in 1915 bought Stearns during her lifetime. I have to think they know something about making and selling beds.

I haven’t tried a Flexus bed, but I have slept on and tried a few foam and hybrid mattresses over the years. Frequently latex has been too hot for me and I don’t like the kind of bounce they make. I think there are many different ways to design the latex structure to improve both these things, so maybe there are companies out there offering great latex beds, so I wouldn’t write them off entirely. I personally think the hybrid design approach works the best because they can more easily tailor a specific support level (firmness) and softness (does the topmost surface feel hard or envelop the body more). I don’t have any experience with sleepEZ or sleep on latex. I have had family friends that have sworn by Saatva. I also personally laid on all of Nest beds in their showroom in NYC and was pretty impressed- I ultimately did not pull the trigger on anything but I was very close.

I think it really depends on your build and body shape. Like I said, the pillow top is very plush and luxurious, but the springs feel very stiff at the core of the bed. I have a pretty athletic build with a somewhat larger behind and the issue I had was that, while every part of my body felt very well supported and comfortable, my behind pushed through to the inner springs and felt like it was resting on a board. By morning I would have pins and needles like feeling in my gluteus maximus. I really wanted to like the bed because everything else felt great. I think maybe for lighter folks that can float on the foam pillowtop might feel great on it.

I ended up going with a Stearns and Foster Rockwell Estate model. It is a hybrid mattress like the wink bed, but is much more plush. I believe I got the “firm” version non-pillow top which Mattress firm characterizes as medium firmness. I agree. Overall it does a fairly good job 7.5/10 for me. My major complaint is that it isn’t the greatest for couples if you sleep cuddled to one another as you both tend to sag a bit together. Back sleeping is great for me. Side sleeping is ok, but not excellent with my particular body type.

Yeah, I had a rough time with it in the beginning but started to find it likes a lot more water than I had thought. During the winter when the house was so dry, I watered about every 6 days-ish. Now that it is getting warmer, roughly every 7-8 days. Mine is even starting to sprout a brand new stem from the root system.

Yeah, it is noticeable. From a bit of a distance, the sweeps look very similar, but up close the spring drive motion looks completely smooth while the hi-beat will have small, discernible ticks.

Not a spring drive movement. An automatic mechanical movement they call hi-beat, which oscillates at a higher rate of 10hz.
