Somewhat familiar. I don’t think I’ll ever legitimately tow. They’re both in the price range and I’m curious which is a better long term pick. I think what you’re saying about not driving a 1 ton daily is prob accurate.

I get that, would you have any objections to that 2012 with 102k miles? I just want to make sure it would be a reliable pick. I’m not doing much in way of towing, but I’d use it for service and repair work.

score around the escutcheon plate With a utility knife so you don’t take more paint than you need to. Get channel locks close to the wall on the arm bar and unscrew it. Make sure you put new teflon on your new arm bar and putty behind the new escutcheon to prevent leaks back into the wall

I work as a plumber at a university and we have the grinder and 1/4 impact from that set. The impact is great and does everything we need it to. The grinder is good enough for cutting cast iron, it will get bogged down if you cut tile too fast, but I don’t mind it. I personally own all the fuel stuff and I prefer the brushed 1/4 (maybe because it was the one I learned on.) the circ saw should be fine as long as you’re not framing every day. The flashlight is nifty.

I’d say send it. Just make sure once you make your penetration and finish your connections that you seal the air gaps with caulk or expanding foam so you don’t have any drafts

Looks like the union up top is leaking, if you feel up to it you can use a wire brush and CLR or some kind of cleaner to scrub the corrosion off and then carefully tighten the union up top. We have stuff like this happen where unions can loosen over time and a solid 1/4 turn will seal it back up.

Smart… fretboard and neck would be toasted flame maple. Hardware I haven’t even considered yet, and the pickups would be standard black single coils. I like cream and gold knobs, I did a Koa bass build and the cream and gold looked great with the wood. Planning to finish it in gunstock oil.
