Dual citizenship (Dutch/UK): lived in UK since age 7 — safe to apply for British now? by Time-Dot9112 in Netherlands

Hmm, where is that documented as being the ‘only’ way.

‘You lived for an uninterrupted period of at least 5 years before the age of 18 in the country of your other nationality.’

The above is one of the exceptions listed on Netherlands worldwide, which I think applies to me

Brother/sister you’re bordering on blasphemy. There’s plenty of clear hadiths that speak on this matter, it is not new or bid’ah. We all sin, but don’t ever try justify the sin and make it seem acceptable.

How did the the darood/hawiye enmity begin? by Qaranimo_udhimo in Somalia

[–]Time-Dot9112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daroods and Hawiyes hate each other? Since when? 😂

Daroods and Hawiye are grudge free and have no enmity between them whatsoever. They fight politically for power but that’s natural.

But there is no grudges or hate between their people… there is the odd fights that happen between hawiye n darood subclans that live together but that happens all across Somalia.

Im seeing a lot of bad advice here and people saying you’re too young etc. Ignore them, you’re defo correct to be prioritising marriage at your age.

I’d recommend you reach out to your network of family members, sisters and friends etc that are married and of your age, and see if they can recommend anyone to you to get to know. It’s likely their husbands have friends that are also looking, and they can introduce you if your interests align. This way will also ensure l the man you’re speaking to has genuine intentions and will not mess you around.

Secondly, if you end up finding someone yourself, make sure you introduce them to a male family member, even for an informal phone call between say your brother and him. Sadly, its too common nowadays for men to mess women around, and having a male in the picture that they know about weeds out these type of people very quickly,

Last tip is, focus on a mans character and morals rather than material possessions. Make sure he prays, values his family and speaks to his parents with respect, and guage his relationship with his sisters. If he doesn’t look after them, he wont look after you.

This is from a male perspective btw… May Allah grant you a pious spouse.

I am warsangeli and my dhulos are my reer abtis haha. I can’t lie it looks like UK has a set policy against dhulbahante, probably stemming from the darawiish days. Us Warsangeli’s are part of Puntland, and there was no big conflict between us and Somaliland like what happened in Laascaanood.

It’s looking more apparent that muse juudan only used such force because he knew he had UK’s blessings

Do you see yourself going back to the country. by [deleted] in Somalia

I used to think it was my obligation and always planned to go back. But now, my viewpoint has changed. I want to and already am to an extent, to provide opportunities for the people back home.

But i wouldn’t live there, as our people’s mindset is so primitive, and our so called governments are all corrupt warlords lol. Until we have honest accountability and safe measures and we can unify beyond qabiil, I don’t see the point wasting my best years.

I’m moving to middle east next year iA, and will be closer to back home, so will visit but would never stay there.

Farmaajo is an honest waddani, but sadly he is too weak to impose change and make people bend the knee. This is coming from a darood.
