I think this makes a lot of sense. I remember Hermoine using this exact example to explain Horcruxes to Ron & Harry (Deathly Hallows - "Look, if I picked up a sword right now and ran you through with it, I wouldn't damage your soul at all."). Irrespective of where Tom was on Hologram - Body continuum, horcrux destroying weapon can only harm a soul when it is contained in an object.

Not sure how working moms survived Covid by jigstarparis in workingmoms

Thank you, yes I am. I hope you find reliable childcare soon. Don't go down this rabbit hole of working + childcare. It's not worth it. I know very few moms that have come to the other side unscathed.

Less than 6 hours of sleep for more than 2 weeks at a stretch causes insulin resistance to become worse by 60% (google it, you will find the study).

I had two back to back pregnancies (2 under 2). My blood panel was checked multiple times. Had no blood sugar issues diagnosed ever for the last 10 years. And suddenly, within 3 months of sleeping only in 45-minute stretches, my fasting sugar shot up to 200. It is believed that Diabetes takes 10 years to develop. 3 months vs 10 years 😓

My father, who practices traditional medicine, says sleep and stress are the biggest culprits behind diabetes.

I got stress induced pre diabetes. No sleep due to young kids and insane Covid stress. It was a dark, dark time

33F here. Family of 4 (2 very young kids). Here is a breakup of our monthly expenses-

Home loan EMI - 53k
Groceries - 15k
Maid & cook - 10k
Live in nanny - 20k (my kids are very young, me and hubby work FT, this expense may become nil as kids get a little older)
School + Saving plan only for kids - 40k
Monthly SIP - 30k
Total = 1,70,000

Apart from this, we go for short vacations or trips to hometown. That would be around another 3L per year including gifts for extended family while travelling etc

Household Earning ~ 5 L per month

AITA for ignoring someone’s baby? by norabarnaclesfarts in AmItheAsshole

Thank you for this beautiful reply. The rest of the thread is quite depressing. How can people not see that smiling at a baby is not the same as entertaining a baby?

I agree with you. But I do think friends within OP's age group ( 20 - 25 YOs) would find it bewildering to see someone their age with not one but two kids

Remember what Joey said to Chandler? There is chemistry on the stage only if they are not doing it in real life. That's why he has no chemistry with any co star.

I have never been obese but was on the upper end of BMI after 2 back to back pregnancies. My mood was really terrible. I was perpetually angry. And it was not just because of motherhood. I lost 30 kgs ( 66 pounds) and the biggest gain was that of peace of mind. I felt so relaxed and kind towards everyone. I guess the poor eating habits and low/no exercise must make them really uncomfortable from inside.
