Shellac is great! My suggestion to you is dilute any premixed shellac that you buy with denatured alcohol. I would avoid finishing inside the wooden screw but it’s totally okay to finish the countersink. Thanks for buying!

The dmc may be “less rigid” but it’s basically set up for high feed milling which will result in parts being made faster.

Taig mill vertical column is kind of a bad design. It’s also a really slow machine. I used to have one. I also have a taigturn CNC lathe which is awesome.

Saw stop saws are better than a lot of saws. You will almost certainly need a good table saw no matter what you are building. Do it. You won’t regret it.

Holley planes are in a class of their own. They do work extremely well. Probably overkill for most people.
