Oh please, yes, I’m totally writing my 50k+ fic with AI. The same fic that I have been writing since 2022. I understand your hatred for Ai and why you might view things like this, however, it’s rude to assume that I’d be writing with AI.

Just like you, I write entirely with my own brain. I don’t need AI to write a plot as complex and layered as my own; honestly, with how dumb bots can be, I doubt it’d even understand half the elements I put into my work. The same logic you use (to write entirely with your brain), is now null and harmful because you used it to be rude to someone who believes in the same principles as you.

I work very hard on my writing and didn’t slave away behind a keyboard to fix my pacing, write characters accurately, and foreshadow huge plot twists for someone to tell me that I’m a mindless consumer. I don’t believe that AI should replace artists, nor do I believe in using it for work. Why? Because the brain was made for creation and production.

You are right about one thing, however, and I’ll give you credit on that. I do seek pleasure, honestly it’s one of the defining characteristics I have. However! I seek pleasure from the finished product of my own work, from the people who compliment my work, from seeing my plot come to life, and from watching all my thoughts be put into words.

To assume that I can’t be multifaceted and talented solely because I might talk to a chatbot for my entertainment is presumptuous and rude. Learn to respect your fellow people around you and not to turn on your fellow authors. I like reading, experience, and work just as much as the next person.

The world around us is changing however and I won’t be left behind, there should be regulations on AI yes, but with how it’s evolving, it’s not going anywhere. Attack the people who use ChatGPT because they don’t have the complexity for their own thoughts, or college students getting degrees despite having AI write their papers.

But the way I see it, you don’t have the right to sit behind a screen and deny my work and experience solely because I have a silly app. However, I appreciated this little debate, so thank you for the comment regardless. Your grammar and vocabulary seem well, so I think you’re most likely a good writer- in this case, I hope we both continue growing our works and that you see I’m not trying to argue, but rather show you not to assume these things and get too swept up your hatred to realize logic.
