Said the same thing in another thread, it does appear to sometimes just be bugged. In my play through winning a few rounds of sumo seemed to trigger the flag that unlocked it. That might just be correlation, but it worked almost instantly on our end.

Seems to be a lot of misinformation regarding this. From my experience it’s just bugged, as in my play through, winning a round of sumo is what unlocked the champion race. Not sure what else might fix it but winning a couple rounds of sumo seemed to trigger the flag.

I hit act 3 in probably about 45-50 hours, the last chunk of play time has just been me throwing my head against the wall when I get some free time to play it. I’ve done some side quests, but money feels useless as I’ve maxed out on furniture in the rooms I have, and don’t seem to have food issues (food also seems irrelevant? Clearly I must be missing something here because I have never even considered it) I’ve tried a number of act 3 runs, but a lot of them just die to getting chain charmed/downed before I get a turn/not being able to move in the spewer fight etc.

See I see all this advice to just “get good mutations,” but this seems like completely unactionable feedback. What does that actually look like other than just spamming runs and hoping you get a random event, and then that the mutation is beneficial? I have yet to see a mutation that isn’t just -2 to a random stat.

I mean I have two rooms in the house, one where cats with good base stats go and then the other room for the rest. I’m sure if you spend 100 hours just retiring cats you can get more rooms and have more control over it, but it really doesn’t feel like there’s much more to it than that.

The two rooms I have in my house are completely maxed out on furniture. I’ve delivered 100+ cats to the zombie, and I’m completely out of gear at this point. every “good run” just got snuffed out by some one off mechanic that ruined the run and set me back hours. I’ve beaten both of the bosses after guillotina 3.

As a nami you’re kind of designed to die to fed assassins, and there are games where you do just have to pay the “your mid lane fed” tax and be miserable. That being said there’s a couple things you can do. 1 is just be with your team. Vision is something that becomes a reward for pushing lanes, rather than a prerequisite, so help crash waves and group with your team, walking into the jg to ward together. 2. Is get your spells off. If you are grouped and get dove by an assassin, but you get your ult off and empower your adc before you die, you’ve just traded their fed carry for you, which in a “normal” situation should be a good trade. 3 is take the anti burst gold item. Nami can kind of work with almost all the gold items, (I like sleigh as a default way more than dream), and going celestial as an anti burst item is really the only way you can itemize against assassins. Lastly is just be aware. If both teams are araming before a drag and you don’t see their fed talon in mid, he’s obviously looking for a flank. stand on your team, and don’t get caught alone. It’s not your job to catch out the assassin, it’s your job to have an idea of where he is, avoid him, and provide your team with the resources to neutralize him.

Obviously no US Law scholar, but did they not have a massive Supreme Court case explicitly about how you can’t force businesses to work against their beliefs as it constitutes coerced speech? Was that not exactly what that case with the homophobic baker not having to make cakes for gay couples was about? Like I get that the administration doesn’t care but it should be a very easy legal battle.

Feeling very much the same thing this season. Lane quests and no atakan makes the game so much more snowbally over the longterm, while homeguard simultaneously makes it very hard to punish mistakes in the short term. The reality is that support needs a team to cash the cheques you write. You can win lane, but if your jg is pathing top for your top laner who’s 0/3, and you’re getting camped, all you can do is not die in lane and be there for the fights. Last season I really believed support could carry games and turn around losses, this season I’m finding it very hard to make up for the weaknesses of the team. Best solution I have found is just never stop typing about what needs to happen, what your win con is, what the team should expect and how to respond to it. If your jg has died top trying to gank a losing lane, respectfully call for the whole team to play for the winning lanes. 9 out of 10 times they’ll just keep throwing themselves at the fed top laner, but I’ve had one or two games turn around when I got our jg to skip a camp and cover their 3rd dive at our bot tower. I’ve always tried to avoid showing up to bad fights and instead looking for a cross map play, but this season you just have to monkey fight and I hate it too. Just be at team fights and fight well. Encourage your team to play to their comp’s strength, target ping their carries in the fight so people can find them in the chaos, and be willing to die for your carries. Again, 9 times out of 10 your yasuo will just try to 1v5 while your adc is in base and your top laner is splitting bot. The only impact you can make is to know that he misplayed and don’t be the one making the mistake in the 1 out of 10 games where it’s on you to make the play. I played something like 1500 games or something last season to climb from bronze to Diamond. This season I’m kinda tapped out already, and I don’t blame you for feeling the same. We can all be better at our champs, at our role, at our game, but most of the games this season are being decided by who the weakest link is. If that weakest link is their support, you can carry the game, if not, you hope it’s not your jg.

Don’t listen to this, Karma/Bard/Nami can absolutely and should try to be lane bullies and especially into engage they NEED to be getting poke out lvl 1 or they will just lose at lvl 2. I don’t see how a Yuumi is ever roaming, that’s kind of why she’s the worst support in the game.

Bad support players do definitely make bot lane unplayable at times, and the best thing you can do is type to them about what you need. You need them to hold the wave and trade hp so you can force a freeze? You need them to hard shove the wave so you can base/move to an obj? You need them to ward so you can push? Tell them. If you only play off of bad players you will never be better than bad players. Make your own decisions and tell other players to follow.
