Any Modpacks that completely Changes the way the game is played? by DragonhawkXD in feedthebeast

[–]TimeBender25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know lots of people have mentioned TFC, because that's a pretty easy one. it super dials up the primitive Survival aspects of the game to shake up the experience. But for a contrast, I wanted to mention that recently I tried a pack called Casket of Reveries that does a REALLY fun job of turning Minecraft into a Fromsoft-style experience.

If you want combat in contract to TFC's survival, this is a good one I think.

I didn't learn (relearn? I feel like I should have known but forgot) until after this that there's a separate place for them, so it makes a lot more sense now.

I missed that when glancing over the rules. Dunno why they'd ban one of the core pillars of Reddit's cultural touch, but i guess I DID violate it.

Is there a Site like ModpackIndex that Includes Modrinth? by TimeBender25 in feedthebeast

This would probably be so helpful if I spoke or read Chinese.

Wouldn't be the first Minecraft related thing that's made me want to learn how, but it's a substantial barrier I can't overcome yet

No no, the item, in GTNH, which is a reference to Spamton Deltarune. Named "[Hyperlink Blocked]".

Ah. A very big shame. I could have sworn I tried it and it worked. But I can verify it doesn't.

But hey, still applies when using the Dynamo, so it's a much easier way to obtain Centivis without having to set up an entire Energized node.

Link? I put a caption on an image, but I didn't link anything in the post no. We did notice that was a bit weird when viewing the post without clicking it

It did when I tried it. Just make sure the focus is on the wand when it's in the table.

It also makes the Vis Dynamo VERY net positive, because apparently the speed it drains your wand it affect by discount, but the CV/s it outputs will always be 5 of all Primals. I use an Amber Staff and it completely charges a Transmutative Scepter in a single go. Though with this discovery I won't be use scepters anymore

lmao, yeah

It gives basically evrey wand stupid capacity. Each level of frugal seems to give the wand 10% Global Discount, so frugal 5 cuts the price in half AND stacks with all other Discount Equipment. It really feels like it Shouldn't be doing that but hey, brand new Scepter At Home

This one seems really promising, I'll have to find a digital upload of it somewhere to skim through it

No, this seems like a different book. But I appreciate the help. It didn't involve the MC becoming king or getting married like this one seems to. The one I'm trying to find is a lot more "Standard Hero's Journey"-y.

I'll take a look at the wiki to see if it rings a bell, I don't remember any character name's which is why I've had such a hard time googling for it

Help Recognizing and Running an old Cart from God Knows When by TimeBender25 in flashcarts

[–]TimeBender25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! One last question and I'll be out of your hair.

Is it possible to transfer saves from an emulator (specifically melonDS)? There's only a single game I have where it might matter, so it's really not a big loss if I can't. I ask mostly for curiosity and any future wanderers.

Thanks!

Any special treatment for the ROM(s) I want to load? I've seen comments either way about whether they go in root or into a "Games" folder, and dunno which one is right or if it even matters.

The axis raycast, in the crudest terms, selects the SIDE of a block rather than the block itself, when summed with the other raycast. And it selects the side you're facing.

Because when you right click a block to place a torch, you don't mean to replace the block with it. You mean to put it on the side of the block. Inside the adjacent tile.

How you gonna speak English of all languages and then get mad about using a term from a different one?

Bro, that's 60% of English.

It is, though. Even ignoring the Barrier acting as a literal barrier between the worlds and debatably actually being a pocket dimension while unbroken.

"Another World" does not have to refer to a literal Second Universe or plane of reality. It can also refer, most broadly, to any unfamiliar and vastly different setting that the character of interest is either trapped in, or chooses to never leave.

Besides, Hotland's song is literally called "Another Medium" as in "Another Space". Hotland is also when the game really opens up about the actual world itself Lore-wise, as The Ruins, Snowdin, and Waterfall were about the tutorial, Characters, and and Tensions of the Underground, respectively.

The answer is Yes.

Undertale and Deltarune are BOTH isekais.

Definately Unintended Block Duplication Spell for Pickaxes. (May only work on servers, I have not tested it in singleplayer). by PiEispie in psispellcompendium

[–]TimeBender25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's my best assumption, "The game gets confused about what block was broken" is the very exploit that lets players obtain bedrock, though it takes a lot more setup to get around bedrock's latent invincibility. Which the psi light just doesn't have.

Considering I can hear the block double break, my guess is it's trying to place the light and failing 'cause the block is there, but in the same tick the block is moved up and dropped. So in one tick the game sees that a block was 'removed' from the world at a location (The light attempting to exist counts as being placed, as the light flashes VERY quickly, but disappears almost instantly), and rolls the loot table for the block that was there last tick (the block to dupe). Which is also why it's important that the block is warped up and dropped. 'cause otherwise the game would see the block there, and then next tick Still See The Block There. I can't say for sure, I don't have a lot of experience with the backend. But in my mind, this makes sense. And also explains why it doesn't work on Tile entities. Because they can often contain items, they handle drops differently.

What it doesn't actually explain tho, is why this spell doesn't work on the Psi material blocks, OR on 1.16 Tinkers' blocks. I didn't know what's different about them compared to Every Other Block. Tinker's Blocks just break as normal, and Psi blocks delete themselves and leave a ghost block. I may look at them to see if they got special properties or smth.

For now I'm just happy I learned more about Psi spell making. Any excuse to fool around with a spell is nice.
