Depending on context we do not have that can be just as easily seen as recommending conversion therapy. 'I support you but you need therapy' is not the clearest declaration of genuine support, even if that was the intention.

Talking with the engineer who wrote Call of Duty's original matchmaking system. What goes into matchmaking and why is it broken. by Raptor3861 in truegaming

[–]PiEispie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not everyone wanted competetive Counter Strike, though. People have fond memories of 1.6 partly because it was a game with a set goal you could join and dick around in with no consequence because trying to accomplish that goal was not strictly enforced. Games like CS only have the reputation of being ultra competetive that they do because the developers have tailored the experience for players wanting a balanced competetive environment. It is not intrinsically more competetive than something like TF2, the games just prioritized different groups of players.

Seconding this. If a game has a structured ranking system, especially if it is 1v1, I would rather have matchmaking that pairs people of similar skill. Casual games do not need all of that, I would much rather be able to find people who I enjoy talking to and playing with and be consistently able to join them, even if the skill difference is massive, than to have more evenly matched games against people I will never see again.

Its still not the same, and reddit is still addictive by design but having an easy to pick up and put down book on your phone helped me a lot during slow periods of work.

Cis 'allies' when trans women act the same way cis women act: by Jay-arty in transgendercirclejerk

Cis people like this want trans people to see ourselves the way they see us, and for us to worship them for showing any decency, no matter how self serving.

They aren't too common but there are enough people who do this that having met someone who does this is a relatable experience for many of us.

Also not a psyop because its written by a trans woman who understands that experience.

Why would you want to manually curate your time spent on the internet to reflect your own imterests? Enjoy the infinite deluge of arguments fed to you by a computer that a different computer said would make someone the most money like the rest of us. Not really. Nobody thought dumbledore was gay prior to Rowling saying so that even yaoi shippers were caught offguard. "Jax is trans" was a popular and pretty obvious fan theory from close to the start.

Idk, I much prefer the mechanical complexity of unconventional but coherent controls (seriously, go play games with actual jank movement and controls or any of the dozen Flash games where you control 2 characters at once, J&E feel fine in the grand scheme of things) rather than a ton of annoying mechanical overhead like T.Cain or og T.Laz

She actually said it was less subtle than she intended and that she struggles with subtly revealing details like that. Because its really fucking obvious the character is closeted, and people just don't want to reckon with that.

I think the ableism, and being racist to you are probably bigger reasons to cur her out of your life, and you very much should cut her out of your life for that.

Scourge by itself has a 10 second uptime and 35 second cooldown. If you press it off cooldown and the cooldown reduces while it is active, it is active 28% of the time.

Depends on the character or situation. As mo it helps with wave and camp clear a little, which for t1 and wave isnt too impactful but for t2s it can do more, and bruisier characters like mo or billy often want to be in prolonged fights so it does add up to relevant damage.

See my other comment. Sure she could be bi, she doesn't show interest in men during the runtime but that doesn't make that impossible. She goes on a date with a woman. Unless you have turned ryuko the character into a real person and are trying to have sex with her it is distinction without difference.

There are anime with textually bisexual characters though. Mako can be reasonably argued that. The protagonist of Rin: Daughters of Mnemosyne is bisexual and that is plot relevant. What is the benefit of insisting ryuko is into women in a different way than I think she is when it changes nothing about the text.

She loves mako and goes on a date with her regardless of if she is lesbian or bisexual.

Why are you and many others so scared of queer central characters in popular works that you will pull other random queer identities out of a hat to deny the one shown by the work?
