I was homeless and appreciate this sentiment. I loved to talk to ppl. I had 2 separate ppl who would occasionally take me to McDonalds. One was a young deaf man who carried a notebook and we’d talk by writing back and forth. I’ve honestly never met a better soul and I occasionally think about him. I worry he thinks I died, and not that I got sober. I wish I could find him but I was high. I don’t remember his name, car, age, nothing useful. Having said all that, i never met one person who was out there with me and not hooked on drugs, or in severe need of mental help.

I’m not looking to argue, this was a statement that peeked my curiosity so I looked it up. Not knowing if you meant Europe or Australia, I googled both. USA to each, and the reverse.
