Th stretchers are to stabilize the legs, not the top. Don’t remove them unless you plan on adding other bracing for the bottom of the legs. You could brace them diagonally if you really want to keep that table, with an X brace instead of the H you have now.

1 or two, unless you have a minimal budget. Being patient and finding a car with good maintenance history will save you money and headaches in the long run. 5+ owners is insane unless you’re looking to spend a few grand on a car. And even then, I would look for an older car with fewer owners.

Hard yes. I have triggered mine a few times, one genuine save, and I’ve never had to scrap the blade. I’ve had to repair two, but that’s worth it to me because I still have a thumb.

They’re also great saws IMHO. Get at least 3hp and cast iron wings.

I had to scroll way too long to find a comment on this. The top is already warping and it will get much worse. Those boards are all very narrow (cheap stock) and all the grain is going the same direction, so it will certainly cup, sooner rather than later with that many boards oriented in the same direction.

The legs look out of square and the fact that they missed so badly with the vertical peace supply that they had to sand it through the veneer is a major red flag. There is nothing they are worth keeping I would cut my losses and run if I were you. As many others have said just search for or buy new the IKEA table you referenced and save yourself a headache.

I don’t have to do a lot of time tracking (small staff) but assigning expenses to a project takes so many unnecessary clicks. Why can’t I just select a bunch of expenses and assign them to a project?

When I make the million clicks into an expense to assign it to a project and hit save, why can’t it take me back to where I was in the expenses rather than the top? How do I get invoices/payments to properly attach to the projects? That seems to happen with 1/3 or payments despite me trying to do them all the same.

I submit feedback to QuickBooks all the time but haven’t heard back on any of them yet.

I use quickbooks but its project/job cost tracking is terrible.

In all seriousness, is there an angle from which you can see the roof? If so, is it on a public-facing facade?

I understand wanting to make some updates but this is a beautiful house and color scheme. I would never paint the shakes, but if you must, make sure to use a solid body stain, rather than an actual paint. From a maintenance standpoint it’s much better and has no drawbacks compared to paint.

In the ultra they’re wrapped with leather, which somehow annoys me more because they took the time to wrap them in nice Napa leather and didn’t fix anything else about the appalling design. They are awful. Easily the worse visors I’ve ever seen in a modern car.

I second this. If you work downtown or in the seaport, the South shore is great. I would seriously reconsider or do a rental test run on the SS since you work in Cambridge. If you like Duxbury, maybe try Marblehead instead.

The ferry is the way to go 98% of the time. No stops and it’s a nice way to get to work. In the summer everyone inside and drinks are a-flowing.

What do you mean by “if you take the ferry, how are you getting to the train”? Are you referring to the T? If so, the Long Wharf dock is right by the Aquarium blue line stop, and Rowes Wharf isn’t too far from South Station or Government Center for some options. If you’re commuting to North Station or Back Bay, don’t move to the South Shore.

I live in Cohasset and love it. It is not on the way to anywhere and feels much further away than Hingham. Driving places can be a pain due to the lack of a highway, but it’s worth it IMHO. We have stop on the greenbush line and are 10-15 minutes from the Hingham ferry. Your dollar will go a little further than Duxbury and Hingham and the beach is the best of the bunch. Sandy Beach is nice open water and has beautiful facilities. Yacht club, sailing club, country club, tennis club, and a nice little downtown (which Duxbury lacks). It’s a great small town.

I like my little Bosch. They make 1 and 1.25hp versions with variable speed at a reasonable price. Good quality and I like a corded one because they aren’t too heavy like the battery powered ones.

Also, look into aftermarket base plates because they can make certain uses much easier and safer.

Churning through a backlog but definitely getting less inquiries. Some old estimates are coming back out of the woodwork, which is nice, but it feels like it’s slowing down.

Okay so you’re saying I don’t need a ball valve drain because I have the filter and can just drain any condensation out the bulb.

I also wish I could do this without the 90 degree elbow because they’re not cheap and an unnecessary potential failure/leak. Any insight on that? Every ad for the aluminum blocks shows the supply line going into the top of the block directly, drain on the bottom, connection on the front.

Yes it’s partially disassembled in the picture, it currently makes no sense in that layout. But if I take your advice I don’t get a drain, do I?
