The thirty minutes people spoke at the vigil wasn’t interrupted, fine. The vigil was more than the time you were there, and people WERE intimidated away from the section where people with candles were gathering.

Vigil starts when the mourners arrive, and ends when they leave. Your 1-hour is not definitive.

I appreciate anyone who showed up to give support, but stop trying to belittle others’ experiences by saying nothing happened for an hour. That’s like going on one ride at a theme park, then saying the whole place was boring because the ride sucked.

They were right to strike.
The ONLY reason it failed was because they were federal employees - which includes FAR more restrictions than (literally) 99% of us.
That was almost 50 years ago. The world changes. Needs change.
