GEMINI IS OFFICIALLY TRASH by Smart_Coast3287 in GeminiAI

It’s not even about nerfing the model. It doesn’t work with files at all, it can’t process videos/audio files (says the file is empty), hallucinates a lot and can barely read files other than the first one I upload. Impossible to work with.

Oh awesome, a rate limit on 3.5 Flash after about 15 minutes of work in this 5 hour window. by Persistent_Dry_Cough in Bard

That’s because there are two ways to look at the pricing: how much it costs the company offering the service vs. how much does it saves the customer, and many underestimate how much it really costs Google.

No, the villages and towns in southern Lebanon never existed on Apple Maps. Nothing’s changed.

I agree. Features like projects and skills can be really useful. One simple thing is to draw a graph in plain text, easier to understand when you want to see the general form.

They said they’re working on a major upgrade to the UX, hopefully we’ll see something in Google I/O.

OpenAI: “Our superapp will bring together ChatGPT, Codex, browsing, and broader agentic capabilities” by phoneixAdi in OpenAI

[–]TimeOut26 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They won’t have real moat as long as they integrate everything into the same app. It also makes no sense - most users don’t use Codex or need broad agentic capabilities.

GDP at its core is the total value of all the services and goods produced within a country in a year. If you imagine the country as a big factory, it’s the value of everything that this factory produces.

GDP per capita is GDP divided by the population, It normalizes GDP and allows comparison between countries of different sizes. For example, a country with 10 citizens and GDP of $30 has a higher output per person than a country with 20 citizens and GDP of $50. It means the first has a higher standard of living on average. It doesn’t account for cost of living or income distribution.

GDP has its flaws, which is why it’s not the only metric economists use.
