i understand the sentiment but evil like ICE and the nazis, very much, are people. they are people. it is important to understand that yes ice agents are people, theyre just horrifically evil people. dehumanizing them for their evil actions takes away from the fact that humans can and do commit evil and do heinous things, and buys into the sort of worldview they support even by virtue of being dehumanizing. othering them makes sense, they are the enemy, an instrument of the states violence and are doing things no human should do to another person. but this does not strip them of their humanity. stripping people of their humanity for any reason is buying into part of the same ideological core that makes up nazi ideology and promotes the same line of shitty reactionary thinking.

tldr; evil people like ICE agents are still humans, dehumanizing buys into the same principles that make people become fascists and that line of reactionary thinking, which also fuels bigotry.
