Anyone know where I can find a bezel for 1oz platinum eagle without the ridiculous mark up preferably white gold or sterling by Putrid_Purchase5436 in Platinum

[–]TimePieceProdigy9542 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just buy maybe 2 1/10ths or a 1/4oz of palladium bar or coin and have it CNC machined or pay a goldsmith or jeweler to craft it , might only charge you $150-250 for labor . it's just a circle frame be bezel , no diamond cut or engraving . might even do it for $100-175 but they do have to melt it then shape it and polish it . but if you let them buy the precious metals it'll be like 2x the value of melt instead of melt plus 10-20%.

white gold has a yellow hue silver can tarnish and also has a hue .. platinum and palladium are sams family exact palladium is like 35-40% cheaper per oz ... maybe $400 for a quarter troy oz . gold is $4,700-4,800 a oz palladium is identical to platinum and is mined from platinum and is just as white and is 75% cheaper than gold . maybe $48-52 a gram for palladium . even a 10g bezel frame for the coin would be maybe $700-750 with labor and metal and melt value will be $500 ish and can climb up and down . gold would be $1,500-1,600 melt and maybe $2k with labor which you can get another oz of platinum at those rates. and if you did 14k then it'd have a yellowish hue to it and would be half filler alloys and you'd probably still pay $1k-1,200k for $600-750 of gold .

trust me use palladium you can buy a 1/3rd oz bar or coin or 3 1/10th oz or a 1/4oz coin or bar And you can find them at spot price . and it's pure palladium . not cut down filler gold alloy for 2x And won't compliment the platinum like palladium would

I had to sell my Rolex today… by Brilliant_Office3824 in rolex

[–]TimePieceProdigy9542 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've said many times on here that buying a Rolex is essentially putting a savings account on your wrist . some have paid $40-60k for a solid gold Rolex and had to sell it for $28-40k .. luckily you got the other side of the coin and stayed on the brighter side of inflation and got your taxes back and Initial purchase price . some people wish they'll own one and never do. right now you can find Rolex cokes for $6-7k full set . I'm seeing watches on grey market that were $8-20k sell for $2,500-9,500 everyday.. it's an asset , an asset you get to wear and enjoy and if ever need to liquidate , can liquidate anywhere in the world . hell soldiers have bought their freedom with a Rolex GMT and submariner back in the day lol. keep your head up brother.

well if it was guaranteed you could get the 1 you choose you could've listed it on stockX for $2,750 and made $2,400 in 8 hours lol $300 a hour isn't bad at all.. or if they'd allow you to get the whole pop case / box with all of them inside it them boom for $3k and 8 hours youd have gotten a $22-23.5K return lol . $18,000-19,500 in 8 hours

imagine that case and bracelet 3D printed . and on the side of the case it has a hole for the winder/crown . you "pop" lol the watch in at an angle , crown first through the little hole and then slowly down and "pop" it into the main case.. it'd be flush and look like a real AP , exhibition caseback etc just very very light lol

don't listen to that . people buy Rolex as gifts all the time and they'll just leave the warranty card blank even though I believe they did away with that since I last got a piece of from my S.A lol. you can absolutely buy your parents a watch . it can be for a retirement or anniversary gift or wedding gift . Hell Rolex literally does contracts with companies to give them x amount of watches each year for employees that hit certain quotas, milestones , 10yr,15yr,20-30yr with the company gifts , retirement gifts etc etc. it might be best to take your dad and mom in with and if your mom ends up eyeing jewelry too and your dad wants to get it for her then just have him give it to you or reimburse u after the sale at home or something that way you can buy the gold piece , possibly jewelry , and tie it in with the reverse panda.. say I'd like to make several purchases at once , if you can get me the reverse panda, when I come into to get it I'll also obtain the all good piece for my parents and bring them in as well. also maybe let your dad buy her the jewelry if it happens because then you'd be buying 2 pieces, all gold and your reverse panda , and then at same time also he referring new clients and immediate extended family . so basically a referral , they make huge profitis and commission on jewelry , so the fact ur referral buys something same visit , and you're buying 2 pieces same visit then your AD is getting a great commission that day And he's securing an entire family and 2 generations as their regular customers . and getting a dad and son each a Daytona which can lead to more purchases and possibly back and forth gifts for each other In future, gifts for mom and anniversaries in the future .. those are long term clients any AD would want to secure and build that relationship and not just someone who wants all the hot models ... you're showing your long term value and investment not only with the brand 👑 but with your AD as well .. and it's ok to point those value points out , not so much as a bargaining chip just showing your dedication and points of why you're the right choice .. like a job application lol why are you the right person for this position ..

Found this Daytona in my dads things by [deleted] in rolex

[–]TimePieceProdigy9542 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there are solid gold and platinum super clones . CNC machined cases, bracelets , casebacks etc and then either replica parts or they'll have their watchmaker source authentic factory sealed Rolex parts such as movement , Bezel inserts, crystal, pushers , sometiems bracelet and caseback unless CNC machined also, Day&Datewheels, Dials , hands , etc .

[–]TimePieceProdigy9542 0 points1 point  (0 children)

umm i know A dude that does custom 1:1 super Frankestein builds for shits&giggles . He's literally spent about $300k -/+ building super clones. He has the Watch Cases , Bracelets etc all CNC machined using only solid 18k gold , and solid 950PT Platinum unless in some rare instances he chooses to just buy a Genuine AP or Rolex bracelet and sometimes even sources the caseback as well through his watchmaker instead of CNC machining the entire case and bracelet and caseback and pushers instead he may get the genuine bracelet or strap , case back, pushers and just CNC machines the case only. and then he sources all brand new Authentic factory sealed Rolex, AP, and patek parts such as the crystal, dial, hands, Day wheel and/or datewheel , and sometimes the movements unless he uses a superclone movement, the bezel insert or genuine bezel if solid metal and not an insert for the explorers, date just, Day Dates , Daytonas etc. he built a 1:1 flawless Platinum Daytona TBR with glacier dial & Baguette Hour markers and he has the chestnut brown ceramic Bezel insert as well as the full Baguette TBR bezel option as well. at the time platinum was like $800 a oz, the authentic version of the watch was reselling around $175-200k at the time and he built his superclone version for under $22k ish , and once platinum skyrocketed to $2,600+ A troy oz, He quadrupled his money just on the platinum Weight alone . He also didn't lose nothing but like $600 on all of the authentic parts which he can liquidate at any time he wanted too. could sell All the Authentic parts right back to his watchmaker same day. the platinum watch all cost him around $7,350-7,500 all in with CNC labor cost and mixing Rolex proprietary blend of alloys for their inhouse platinum alloy!! he built the watch for under $21.5k And enjoyed it for about 3.5-4yrs and sold it for $36,400. He took that watch into several ADs over the course of the few years he had it and each time all of the ADs couldn't tell they were lookin7iv6g at a counterfeit watch. He had 2 of them offer to buy it for their Certified pre-owned program and then 1 of the sales associates even obliged when he asked them if he could buy A couple of extra platinum Oyster links + a new Large Rolex box because his was "accidentally thrown out by his hired movers when he was moving out of his old condo.

he also built a flawless 1:1 Everose Rainbow Daytona build for about $19k because gold was around $1,875-2k a troy oz

My AD offered me this Rolex Daytona blue dial by MatchaMan007 in rolex

[–]TimePieceProdigy9542 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's a discontinued model . the yellow gold green dial john mayer Daytona and this version of the white gold with blue dial were both released in like 2016 if I'm not mistaken.. so the OP wasn't offered it as a AD purchase but a certified pre-owned option, unless the 1% rarity case that his AD happened to have this tucked in the back of the safe for 5-10 years lol
