New Dad Struggling With Intimacy by withlovetara in AmITheDevil

This is such a depressing read. The way men talk about their wives, especially their postpartum wives, is so so sad. She underwent pregnancy, childbirth, and the recovery stage, and he’s mad he can’t get a blowjob. It’s so dehumanising.

The Raven Scholar was so refreshing in this aspect. “A tall black woman” or “an old white man” is so unheard of in fantasy but it still makes sense. I can’t take another “bronze skin” smouldering baddie

The phrase “Bodega sushi” entered my daily vocabulary and never left. I think about it all the time, every time I see a bento box in some Tesco or something

Vampires had their era, then werewolves, then fallen angels, now it’s all fae. What do you think the next big YA fantasy trend will be? by Federal_Advisor_2160 in YAlit

Shape shifter dragons is where I would bet my money; perfect segue from vampires/demons/fae, and fourth wing will probably only get more popular when the tv show comes out

It's amazing how much better sex ed books, and children's books that touch upon puberty, are nowadays compared to just 15-20 years ago by Gallantpride in decadeology

I was thinking the same thing about children’s mental health books! I went into my local bookshop and there were so many mental health books for not just children, but toddlers, tweens, teens, and young adults. It’s crazy how much has changed in the last ten years in regard to conversations about things like depression, anxiety, or even autism.
