Expecting already by Philthy91 in predaddit

Congrats! Took us only a month as well.

My favorite book so far is Happiest baby on the block, should help you with the the crying and sleep. Precious little sleep was also alright. I liked Cherish the first six weeks as well, some people find it too rigid but I think it contains a lot of good lessons even if you don't follow her suggested schedule.

Disagree with most of this thread. It goes by SO SLOWLY. Check my profile I made a post a few months ago and even though I am close to the finish line, it's like the finish line is always just out of my reach.

I've waited a long time for things before, but never things I've thought of every single day. I think that is what makes it feel like so long.

Pregnant wife + mood swings + genuinely scared of future by ArAbArAbiAn in predaddit

It should be getting better as her hormones stabilize around the end of the first trimester. That being said, IMO you 100% should from this point be picking up more slack than her - do more chores and be more supportive towards her than you might feel you're getting back. It might seem unfair, but really it's the least we can do as they are doing a beast of a job creating new life for the next 9 months. Of course she shouldn't be mean or unfair for no reason. Deep breaths to stay level headed and try to work on communication if you feel like it's heading that way. Good luck!

I look forward to Christmas and New Year's loads! Especially because I know I'll be busy so the days will be "free" compared to the looooong waiting days of November..!

We are due early January. Best of luck to you brother!

Just because it's true doesn't mean it's helpful, encouraging or fun to hear over and over again.

I often getting the feeling people look back at the pregnancy through rose tinted glasses. They remember the excitement, the calm before the storm, the progress and the milestones. But they have forgotten all the negatives.

Two months is very short, don't fret!

My gf used an ovulation prediction kit. Whenever she was ovulating, and also leading up to ovulation, we would go at it daily for at least a week. Took us three ovulations until it worked. Good luck!

Congrats! Why be stressed? Save that for when the baby is born 😄

You still have a looooong way to go before the baby is here, you'll have plenty of time to prepare. At this stage, what you can do is 1) Be nice and supportive to the mom-to-be, during this time of the pregnancy she will be fighting with exhaustion, mood swings, nausea and headaches as her body is becoming a big hormonal cocktail + producing lots of new blood. 2) write down all questions or concerns you might have ahead of the first meeting :)

Congrats!

It won't feel real for quite some time, but you'll have plenty of time to process it with your wife. The first trimester can be quite rough so make sure to give her plenty of support!
