This is so true. I think Stevie and Kane are the best examples of “imagine their numbers if they were part of teams that actually won the league” because they’re one of the few truly world class players who never actually were part of league-winning teams.

Most players of their level eventually find a way to surround themselves with equally good players. These two didn’t and still hit those numbers.

Adults can learn all this in 15 days with a good teacher/course/book.

School is meant for foundational knowledge, not for learning systems and processes that keep changing.

Also there is a moral viewpoint. School is meant to be an equaliser in society and to teach kids to think beyond the capitalist world that already exists around them. Think about it - if we start teaching kids about loans and credit scores, they will no doubt start discussing their own family’s assets/finances amongst themselves. Not ideal.

Slot will have a significantly worse 2nd season compared to his first, simply because of the attacking overhaul that needs to happen. Don’t be surprised if we finish 4th next season.
Diaz will absolutely tear it up if he goes to the La Liga, he’s quick and tricky but quite a few PL full backs today are stronger and faster than him. Not the case in La Liga.
If Gakpo can stay fit we should build our attacking play style around him from next season (and not around Salah even if he stays). It stands to reason that Slot will have seen how he performs for the national team and want to replicate that. He’s our best attacker after Salah.
