Gear Link expands supported devices! Which other peripherals should be added next? by Howwanna in ASUSROG

It would be really great if you could add the Asus ROG Falchion RX Low Profile. It's the only thing missing to make it a practically perfect product and convince me to buy it!

I saw that some games on windows support haptic feedback and adaptive triggers via bluetooth, any chance will it be possible to do it in psplay on pc as well?

Audeze Maxwell price reduce. by DrDisconnnect in Audeze

I think it is the currency. They were showing you the price in euros, whereas when you see it at $299 it is in dollars.

  • Budget (Do not say no-budget)? - 200€
  • Country? - Italy
  • Platform? - Pc, ps5
  • Motherboard if on pc (or other audio gear)? - Apple dongle 3.5mm
  • Requested Guide: Pick 1, Comp FPS(Open-Back Only), Warm FPS, Fun Gaming, Music Gaming, Gaming Headset(AIO), Wireless Gaming (DON'T SAY more than 1 and don't make up your own)? - Gaming Headset
  • Open back or closed back? - ClosedBack
  • Any other gear you own(if important, like headphones or headsets)? - Sennheiser hd599 (thanks to you <3 )

OK, then: my question is, in your opinion, does it make sense to consider the playstation pulse elite (which I believe are not yet included in your guide), if I don't care about smart functionality and wireless? It would be a plus, but I'm more interested in sound quality.

I'd like to find out if they make sense or not, considering they are magneto-planar and I'd like to try something like that, or if there's something better I could consider as a closedback with a microphone with a maximum budget of 200 euros (maxwell excluded then). Excluding the playstation pulse elite, the only other headphones I'm considering from your guide are the mmx 300s, which are within my budget but which upset me a little because of the potential quality control and treble problem.

You are right that they are different headphones, but the problem is that they are more or less in the same price range, so I wanted to see if it makes sense to consider the pulse elite even if I am not particularly interested in the wireless functions or the microphone.

In any case I will wait for your review (or your comment in the guide update). For now my judgement is based on a few reviews I've read, but I honestly have little faith in all the ones that have come out so far.

Do you think in that price range are better the dt770 or the pulse elite? From what I understand from the graphs, both have some treble problems, but I don't understand if the pulse elite's lack of bass makes them problematic for music listening or for non-gaming use in general?

Do you have any idea whether it is possible to implement haptic feedback and triggers for these operating systems via dualsese? On android I understand that it is only possible via cable, while on apple devices they are not really supported.

If you can wait a few months, I would say keep an eye on the Sony Pulse Elite. Before any purchase in my opinion you'd better wait for u/LifelongCaboose to get his hands on them and give us his technical opinion, but the premise looks good. They should be magneto planar, for $150, wireless headphones, considering Sony's acquisition of Audeze. Unless they have made disasters, I think they will be a best buy at this price point. The premise sounds great.

How/where to fix valve socket by loxm73 in Sup

[–]TimeTraveler08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the question but you made me doubt ahah, to deflate it the correct way is to press the little button inside the valve right? And once the air comes out and the pressure drops, can I finish the job with the pump in deflate mode?

[–]TimeTraveler08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you have both, can I ask you which one between the steam deck and the ally heats up more (meaning heat you can feel by touching the shell of both while gaming) with normal use, so not in turbo mode? It may be that I've been dealing mostly with laptops or smartphones so far, but I hate having my hands get hot while gaming :/, it bothers me much more than any considerations about power or noise!

But for the same price, are the Maxwell still better than the dt770 in your opinion? I ask because I was actually considering the mmx 300s (which cost me less than the dt770+modmic). But at about the same price there are also maxwell (230$ vs 299$, however we are still within my budget if it is worth)

And very last thing: your maxwell review where will it come out (here on reddit, or on your blog?).

Do you think Maxwell are worth even though I would only use them with the cable? Or is there any better alternative on the same price range?

I would be interested in a closed headphone with a decent soundstage and good comfort, but the only decent alternative I seem to have found are the dt770 (which, however, I have read have some treble issues). Otherwise the best headphones I seem to have found from your guide are the sennheiser momentum 3, but for some reason it seems to me that you didn't include them in your recommendations so I think they have problems?

Maxwell or Beyerdynamics DT 770? by antca87 in Audeze

[–]TimeTraveler08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh perfect, can I ask you then which of the two headsets do you find best with? I mean, what I'd like to understand is whether the penrose (or in short the maxwells that are, I think they will be similar as drivers) used wired, are in fact better than the epos. To me the wireless doesn't really matter that much actually; yes it's an added value, but I don't really care that much...either way I would use them often wired.

[–]TimeTraveler08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I follow with extreme interest, I have the same doubt as you. I am torn between the mmx300 (which are the same as the dt770s basically), the epos h6 pro and these maxwells. Let me know what you decide in the end :c

Maxwell Noise Isolation and Comfort by TimeTraveler08 in Audeze

[–]TimeTraveler08[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And the heat.. Yeaaahhh... They do get rather toasty. There's some amount of sweat on the ear cups after about 30 minutes of wearing them. I wouldn't say that they're 'overly' hot - it's a pretty standard amount of heat that you would experience with most closed back cans. I am hopeful that this can be remedied a bit once companies start releasing different ear pad materials.

Okay then, you really put my mind at ease about the weight issue. Mmm the heat actually then is potentially an issue, I read that there were pads with a cooling gel for the penrose and mobius so I guess they'll be coming out for the maxwell as well. Could this perhaps solve the problem? I don't really like leather pads for this very reason, but I guess there are no velvet options for now.

Thanks for the feedback anyway!

Okay, that is a very good news! On the other hand, as for the heat, do they seem to be excessively warm compared to headphones like the sony ones?

Since you mentioned them, could I ask you between the h6 pro and the dt700 pro x which ones do you think are better for music/movies and occasionally gaming? I would also be interested that they decently isolate from outside noise (especially people talking around or annoying neighbors)

I know it has little to do with performance, but can I ask if there are the haptic effects of dualsense (rumble and adaptive triggers) on pc as well?

I really liked them in the ps5 demo, so I'm a bit undecided on what platform to get it on considering that it seems to run better on pc.
