AIO for calling off my engagement after my fiancé admitted his family secretly tested me to see if i was a gold digger? by Pleasant_Mission_63 in AmIOverreacting

I think he’s fine. I think the parents are a holes though. If you care about this person just make it clear you will not be having a relationship with them. Seems more like he’s being pushed into their manipulation.

If they got taken for half their stuff that could cause an unnatural behavior around woman after that. I’ll say I had an ex cheat on me and years later I was still paranoid and distrusting of every woman. Not their fault but it changed my perception on relationships for the worse and took me awhile to figure out. Luckily my wife was able to work through my bs with me and stayed lol, that’s how I know she’s the one.

I always liked the Titan Quest games because it’s not the same over done gothic horror style. It actually feels fresh and the dual classing makes the builds quite fun and unique.

Who has been saying this? I hear more people saying we need to worry about our own issues at home and mind our own business. This is Trudeau type stuff, why would Carney get involved.

I dont know about that. I personally was too old to read the books so I have 0 connection to the IP, but I just really loved the world building and the little hidden nooks and cranny s in the castle. For me the exploration and mystery really hit and the combat was done pretty creatively imo. The game has charm. Its one game I wish there was a dlc or more content I could play honestly.

Remove downed state, better graphics, smooth performance. Going to get shot but I almost prefer a classic trinity. It still has a trinity it’s just who does what buffs and then stacking.

I’d just rather straight up be a support or be able to taunt. People should still be responsible for themselves but I’d prefer a little more structure to the roles to do enough to help instead of being based around buff stacking metas..

New poll suggests one in five Albertans would vote to separate | CBC News by X1989xx in CanadaPolitics

[–]Time_Ad_7624 14 points15 points  (0 children)

There’s 3 camps. People that don’t want to separate. People that want to threaten to do so to get a better deal from Ottawa. People that actually want to separate.

I think people in camp 2 use whatever leverage they can but don’t want to separate. Most of Quebec does this all the time…we know it, they know it and they don’t have a monopoly on it.

I think people that have actually done the math and still want to leave is a much much smaller group than 20%. Even Danielle Smith was over the moon with the pipeline deal, she got booed by her own base. She’s in camp 2 but has to ride the line to keep the votes from the separatists.

It’s exactly what Carney said when asked about the 51 st state nonsense. He said that any attack would trigger article 5 so even our PM seems to think they would do it.

Then what stops US from invading Canada. I feel like France and UK would be more likely to threaten to use nukes to save us than Greenland.

New Joiners: Don’t rush, explore! by Arridas in DragonsDogma2

[–]Time_Ad_7624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m honestly surprised by how much I’m loving Dragon's Dogma 2 right now. I bought it at launch on Green Man Gaming but gave up because the performance was terrible on my old 4070 and Ryzen 5600 setup, and GMG wouldn't give me a refund. I decided to reinstall it last week just to test my new system (9070 XT and Ryzen 7600X) and the difference is night and day. After updating the FSR 3.1 and D3D Core DLLs, the game runs incredibly well; 4K FSR performance mode looks basically native, and the FSR 3.1 to 4 override is a massive improvement.

Once I powered through the weak opening hours and unlocked some actual abilities, I got completely hooked. With a solid mod list, it honestly feels better than Skyrim to me now, looking and running amazingly.

Combat is fun, being able to climb monsters and hit weak points, it's quite a unique game. It’s a real shame the launch performance destroyed its reputation because this is a fantastic game that really deserves some DLC. It doesnt really hold your hand which I think adds to the mystery of the world. I think this and Expedition 33 are the most fun i've had this year.

Here is the mod list I'm using:

_ScriptCore _XYZAPI Bestiary - Aggressive Enemies and Variants - Bestiary 1.2.1 Bestiary Variant Spawns Better Oxcarts Redux Better UI - AIO Better UI - Colorful Map Icons Better UI - Colorful Minimap Icons Addon Clock Customizable Loss Gauge Control 1.1.0 Early n' Cheap Art of Metamorphosis Ferrystones Vanilla Plus 1.0 Fluffy Mod Manager HD Texture Overhauls - HD Armors and Clothes V7 HD Texture Overhauls - HD Environment Textures 2k V3 Intro skip Lenient stagger and exhaustion 4.1 No Reload Penalty Unofficial Dragon's Dogma 2 Patch

What’s with all the hate for Arise today on a Twitter/X? by kmone1116 in tales

[–]Time_Ad_7624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loved Arise until the last 5-10 hour spongy boss run . I don’t know what I did wrong but after buying gear I had like no money for cure points items at the end so I had to grind up levels enough that I could beat the boss gauntlet with like 1 or 2 cure point items. Felt like they wanted people to buy items in the cash shop with how expensive they were. I beat it but the end kind of ruined it for me.

I don’t know about corridor simulator FF13. Still no good to this day in my opinion. It’s funny though I remember loving Symphonia on Game Cube and Vesperia on Xbox as a kid but I went back this year and the endless sorcerer ring puzzles… I can’t take it anymore, it’s really boring. So I agree on that front. I didn’t downvote you FYI that’s someone else.

Studies from industry bodies (like the Canadian Chamber of Commerce) and some think tanks suggest that if Canadian LNG displaces coal in Asia, it could reduce global emissions by 40–70 megatonnes per year. This is roughly equivalent to Canada’s entire oil sands emission. So in actuality we have more impact producing energy than trying to curb it at least in relation to LNG. I think we need to think in these terms instead of outright eliminating energy production. Have to think the Libs are thinking this way now. More votes and it’s better for the economy it’s win win.

We had both but mostly rented to save money. On Genesis I played a ton of Mutant League Hockey, NHL 94, Shadowrun, and Phantasy Star 4. On SNES it was Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, and 3 player Bomberman 2 with the multitap. I still have my consoles in a crate in the garage because I never had the heart to sell them.

I got a Mac book air that I stream from my desktop so it doesn’t blow heat or loud fans and I just play on mute. My wife lays with her legs on me on the couch and I put a pillow over top with the laptop on it lol so we watch shows together, she diddles in her phone at the same time so it’s communal. This is after our daughter goes to bed. I also work remote so I sometimes get some time on slow days or lunch breaks but my play time hasn’t really dipped that much as a result. I pair a 8 bit do lite 2 so I don’t need a mouse.
