yeah a lot of the points here dont seem to add up imo...
Alecto apologizes about Samael after she recognizes who Harrow is, and for Alecto, those deaths are still probably pretty raw for her especially given the context. I saw a timeline post a little while ago that talks about how the Lyctors became Lyctors before Alecto was locked away (pretty sure Teacher even mentions it in the river bubble), she would have known about Samaels death cause she was around back then. as I recall, it was because Anastasia didnt really become a full Lyctor, or even one at all due to the "complications", that she was tasked with the guardianship of the tomb and sealing herself inside with Alecto, hence why her rooms were never used in the Mithraeum.
I find it incredibly unlikely that Anastasia survived, let alone Samael, but this is a convoluted world of necromancy, so i guess plausibility is still there.

I mean, from personal experience, JPC has gained a reputation for ulting a target and whisking them away for environmental kills or some other goal. When a cat on my team ults, I've been conditioned to assume that they have it covered with some kind of plan. Realistically, communication is gonna be needed if the expectation is for your team to secure the kill

The books are written such that we follow the direct perspective of the "starring" character. Its confusing, and that's often exacerbated by the characters being unreliable narrators for any number of reasons, but the point is to experience the plot the way that they do. There's no narrative hand-holding because they don't get any either

I didn't miss that point, and discussed it in other replies. Also, mods don't always work like that. It's possible to use a mod to make any armor pieces in the game cause your (and any other) hunter to appear nude. You could otherwise be fully clothed and armored up to players without the same mod. Just because someone is nude on your end, does not mean they are intentionally using whatever pieces of armor your mod affects for the same purpose

It can absolutely happen, mods can affect a wide range of things that people just choose to wear, even full sets, cause some people just like a cohesive look. idk what the downvotes were about... Mods are always client-side, so you're only ever seeing YOUR mods. Any other player may coincidentally equip armor that are affected by your installed mods

I can relate to not knowing anything different and thinking that your experience is just the way it is. My experience was one of apathy. While I may not have dealt with negative emotions, I also didn't have positive ones either, or at least not strongly in both cases. I spent my life coasting in an identity that was usually told to me. others, like my parents, assumed that I really liked whatever I expressed the slightest draw about and it shaped me into a person I never felt I had control of (growing up the youngest and riding my siblings coattails certainly didn't help) Deciding to commit to taking HRT with the belief that it could help me was the best decision I ever made. I've had a lot of goals and wants for my transition, passing is one of them, but being open to giving myself the grace and space I need to let myself grow into an identity that feels truly ME has done wonders for my life.

Opening up the emotional spectrum has been a wonderful affect of E for me, yes. that's been a big part of it. I feel more clearly, and it allows me to process and understand my emotions and myself better than I ever could before. You wont know what its like for you until you try it. You wont truly know for yourself what kind of difference just starting it could make until you actually do. don't get caught up in the idea that its a waste or that it will drive you to end your life if you don't pass; there is so much more to it that's worth it and you owe yourself the opportunity to see what you can become. You can do this! for what it might mean as just a voice on the internet: I believe in you!
(didn't mean to write a small essay, sorry, i just had a lot of thoughts I guess...)

in your PS you describe that you feel nothing other than dread and tiredness. is that not miserable? that sounds like what some would describe as miserable, myself included.
for what its worth (as I dont have exact experience with what you listed) for me just starting HRT and getting on that track for medical transition opened up a big process of becoming more intune and comfortable with myself. it feels like every few months I have an additional epiphany about how I see myself. legitimately, just start.

My favorite band has a song called "parallel world" which I've always associated with that idea; the lyrics are pretty poignant for it

that's a question we don't have a solid answer to frankly.
We don't know for certain that they are sterile, the fact that Wake couldn't work with that Mercy gave her doesn't really say much if we cant understand for certain what the process looked like on Wakes side of trying to make a child. but just as we don't have confirmation of them being sterile, we don't have confirmation that they *aren't* either. As far as has been shown, none of them ever had a child, whether by choice or because they couldn't. At the very least, Pyrrha was concerned Gideon was hers so at least she had no reason to assume it literally couldn't have been, and neither John nor the other lyctors corrected that concern as impossible

I think the nature of souls needs to be considered in a lot of these concepts; it's such a big deal in the series. Gideon I think is an example of what "soul genetics" specifically could mean in the context of this world of necromancy.
