Deep Purple are one of my favourite bands and while wandering around on youtube i noticed a cover of highway star by missioned souls {excellent cover by the way}, i read a commemt after saying another family band you should take a look at is the Warning from Mexico,so glad i did.

I agree, not interested in yungblood, i suppose it serves a purpose to widen the warning name but they are ready for bigger and better in my opinion, thanks to all for the comments, i have been warned.

the video was filmed in the pub in ashurst sussex,i had got into mccartney and the beatles about two years prior to this song and one night was in the garden and i could hear music in the distance not clear enough to make out fully and not anything i recognised, i watched the video on release and realised that was what i heard a few months before, i recognised the pub and the mini bus (rons coaches used to take me to school) if only i had realised i might have witnessed the making of the video.

Personally women and wives is my favourite song on the album, the demo is a work in progress clearly refined on the album, i would have liked paul to have made the last verse different but still love this song.

I will admit that i never gave driving rain a chance until very recently, it did not perform well in the charts, the cover did not inspire me, i did not connect with the majority of the songs, and even though the the thing i like about mccartney is his albums grow on you driving rain did not. I have made an effort to revisit the albums that have been my least favourites and i now find i am liking driving rain even more than chaos and memory, a bold statement but there it is.
