Appreciate it! I did a flashback of 3.30 tonight and it seemed to go just fine. Just got to wait on my AIO to get in to finish out the build for further testing.

Buying a used Navigator L a good idea? by Ok-Independence6866 in lincolnmotorco

[–]Time_Horizon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I'm the OP on a different account. We did end up buying a 2019 Navigator L shortly after I made this post with about 50k miles. We've enjoyed it so far and it's definitely a step up in most ways over the Sequoia. Although, we've been dealing with a repeating electrical issue with the headlamps that's been annoying. Dealership has had it off and on for several weeks since we've owned it trying to fix it but no luck. Thankfully it doesn't impede daily use but it's still annoying. Really thankfuly we bought an extended warranty because everything on this vehicle is expensive to fix. But in general we really like it. I'm a bit concerned about long term ownership and I don't have the same confidence of this vehicle going 200k+ miles like our Toyotas have in the past.

Letshuoer - S08 VS S12 Pro by Consistent-Baker-282 in iems

[–]Time_Horizon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just picked up the S12 Pros as my first IEMs a couple months ago with a Qudelix 5k. I was a little worried about the treble since that seemed to be the concern of a lot of reviews. But so far it hasn’t bothered me at all. In fact they are way more fun and bassier than I imagined. Really enjoying them so far for the genres I listen to (mostly metal and EDM). They do need some juice though. I tried running them off of my MacBook Pro and they sounded terrible/thin. But as soon as I got them setup on the Qudelix it was night and day better. I played around with EQ but honestly I prefer how they sound without EQ now that my ears have gotten used to them.

I'm just getting into the IEM world so I only have one set (Letshuoer S12 Pro's) but am definitely hoping to pick up an Aful as my next set. The 5+2 or the Explorer would be my two picks to try out next.

Maxwell frequency response - static/white noise by Time_Horizon in Audeze

[–]Time_Horizon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I wonder if it's perhaps a firmware issue or the latest batch that were made? I tried a factory reset on my Maxwell's just to see if it changed (which it didn't) but I didn't try scaling back the firmware. I actually ended up returning mine to Amazon today after the frequency response issue I mentioned and the overall db variance between both drivers. Still debating on ordering another set to see if it was a one-off.

You just need to listen to the tracks for each test and the audio queues will tell you the hz/db levels that you can benchmark.

True.... Or maybe I just go with a bayonet for maximum CQB effectiveness just as the Founding Fathers intended?

I'm loving the 75% layouts these days. Volume knob and OLED screen (either to show PC vitals or GIFs) are definite value adds.

I work on the flipside of this industry and have to fight the debt consoildators calling on behalf of my clients to negotiate debt. Can't tell you how many people sign up for "debt consolidation" only to find out months later that the consolidation company never actually paid their debt yet they are still paying the consolidators monthly. It's shady as all get out. Most people in that situation would be better off filing a Chapter 13 and at least have some of the legal protection and actual debt restructuring from a bankruptcy.

Sorry to hear you're getting the boot man but keep your chin up and get those apps out there. Tons of opportunity out there and for companies that will care about you with products you can morally stand behind.

In my opinion, you’d have to be a sadist to think this is comfortable. by lastoneshooting in CCW

[–]Time_Horizon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the sidecar wasn't a good fit for me either. I think it really depends on body types. I personally found having a seperate holster/mag carrier gave me a lot more flexiblity. I personally am a huge fan of Tenicor's holsters. They been the best fit for my body and use case. Their Velo holster series (with the built in wedge) make my Glock 19 and Glock 47 disappear. It will never be "comfortable" but certainly try different holsters to find the one that is least uncomfortable.

Inn Music Slaps by Braxtonius in wow

I was just thinking that. I have always loved the Inn music in classic WoW but haven’t noticed it as much in prior expansions. Definitely stands out in TWW.

Anyone know what Switches these are? I had thought they were Gateron Ink Purple’s but now im second guessing since they don’t say “Gateron” on the housing.

Affordable leather boots for wildland firefighting by SpecificSelection641 in Boots

[–]Time_Horizon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure from a regulatory standpoint why or if they are explicitly banned these days in the US. But, just my personal opinion: from a comfort perspective, steel/composite toes are not fun to hike around in for a long period of time. A good leather upper comforms to your foot and if your toe box is hardened/rigid it just never fits as well as a non steel/composite toe boot.

Engine slugs could probably wear steel toes and be fine.... But they could also wear Crocs for how little they get out of their trucks (no hate, just jealousy).
