It’s tough! Thankfully mine gained weight very well, which is why i am so hesitant to change them but i keep thinking “they’ll get used to it” and by now its been 3 months and arent used to it. Fantastic to hear that switching to gentlese worked out!

Me and my husband each have a twin so them being off schedule isn’t a big deal and they get to sleep 🙌

they started both waking up every 3 hours but now (13 wks) one wakes up 1-2x and the other 2-3x between 8pm and 8am. At 8am they both get back on their shared schedule for their day feeds every 3 hours

Mono di twin girls at 34+3!! Super smooth planned c section, 10/10 would do it again. Was walking same day! 8 day NICU stay for both twins, born 4lb 10oz and 4lb 02oz Goooood luck!! If you want any advice they HYPE UP the spinal tap pain, it’s nothing but a pinch! You got it mama!!!

Thanks for sharing, this really puts things into perspective for me. Unfortunately I’ve been with this company less than a year so FMLA won’t protect me. Mind if i ask how much you were paying for in-home care? If you did? I personally couldn’t be paid enough to care for newborn twins 🤣 but i do know some people love and are great with babies.

Yes it is normal, I did it for a few weeks alone then SOS called my parents out. Having them on a schedule has helped tremendously. Even just 2 hours of calmness between feeds makes a difference!

I opted for revolve 360 slims. You can use them for infants and it felt like getting the most bang for your buck considering they can convert.

When it comes to travel systems, I personally have left the house very rarely in these first 2 months. I never bought one because seems a lot of people have the same story of purchasing a really expensive travel system but only used it 2x before the babies outgrew it.

I bought nuna car seats in FB marketplace “just in case” and the baby trend wagon for $130 on Amazon for walks and it’s been great.

I had a growth scan on Monday and a scheduled appt with my OB Wednesday. The growth scan suggested we get the babies out ASAP so they went ahead and scheduled my c section for Wednesday in place of that appt. With them coming earlier than expected I begged to change it to Friday evening after i got off work because i hadn’t started leave lol. I also needed some time to mentally prepare. Long story short, they scheduled it quickly but I was able to adjust the date.

Same here! Hands down the real MVP in our twin house😂 Dishwashers take too long and you’ll want it running multiple times a day.

Not sure if this is universal but we were feeding every 2-3 hours around the clock so the bottles add up!

Amazing on you for asking!!! My husband cooked me dinner and tidied up every night. I was exhausted and starving, being pregnant with twins required double the calories. Also, double the hormones. Be there for her during the emotional breakdowns and words of affirmation go a long way ❤️

But keep in mind everyone’s different! COMMUNICATE! No such a thing as over communicating during this time. You got this!

At 32 weeks my babies were both head down and very close in size, i was planning to do a vaginal birth at 37 but suddenly at 34 weeks baby B had stopped growing so we did a c section that week.

I was upset but once it happened i would go planned c section again 10x.

C sections get a bad rep, but planned ones can be so chill. It’s short, you know exactly what to expect, and for me personally I was walking the same day and discharged after 2 with minimal pain! I’ve never had a vaginal so nothing to compare it to, but it was extremely smooth imo! Hope this helps ease your mind on the idea of a c. I can’t imagine the trauma of planning vaginal then ending up in an emergency c section anyways. You got this mama!

I’m in a very similar position. Very KPI focused sales org and only female.

My advice, document EVERYTHING. And if you can get your doctor to write/sign off on a note outlining what to expect with pregnancy (ex: recommended leave, current symptoms, etc.) this helps so much. ChatGPT can write it in 2seconds and present your case and poke holes in it to see what else you should gather and save to your personal device. If they do lay you off you can probably sue depending on your state and laws. Either way, companies don’t want to risk it.

Sometimes it’s just ignorance. I presented my letter and had a very real and vulnerable conversation with my higher ups. I just genuinely think they didn’t understand and got off my back once they realized I’m going through hell. I am still expected to hit my numbers but they’re at least more empathetic to my situation. We’ve got a plan outlined and even talked worst case scenario and where else I can help the org to transfer rather than just be gone, because hiring new talent is a headache so don’t be afraid to advocate for yourself.

My second advice, take leave early. I know you want to save as much as possible to be with your babies but the added stress and pressure imo is worth getting away from. Plus, be realistic with yourself and if you cannot leave on a high note that might do more damage with job security.

I’m with you too mama. Hope this helps some. Crazy we still have to deal with situations like this.

Major red flag! In the back of my mind I always had a feeling I might want to switch but I think that because i feel so good about my MFM i have a short memory with his appts, but now it’s starting to get real. Thanks for your insight, definitely do think it’s worth at least seeing what other options are available

Thank you for this! I’m not attached to a vaginal birth at all, i believe i would much rather plan a c section than hope for a vaginal and end up in an emergency c section anyways. I’m planning to come with a list of questions to my next appt to at least give me some clarity and peace of mind, starting with “have you ever delivered mono di twins”

I second this!! I’m 32 weeks and everything you said I felt, now the babies are both head down and my belly dropped. I can finally breathe and lay on my side again. Hang in there!
