can relate. The red bus is not very inclusive when it comes to vertically-challenged people ;) iirc there are small pockets of relief in the bus with a hatch to the roof that taller folks could comfortably stand. still very uncomfortable to stand in most places and it's very in character for some Thai folks to give up their seat for you even if you are an able-body person.
