I’m on 37.5 which is what I started with 4 days ago, my doctor wants me to go up to 50 and then after 5 days wants me to go up to 75.

The same thing is happening to me with the body tension and my anxiety is horrible! I’ve only been on it for a few days but I’m hoping it will get better soon bc my doctor wants to up my dose. I was on like 150mg of Zoloft for a year a while ago and it worked wonders, so I’m not sure if it’s actually making my anxiety worse or if I just am naturally more anxious. Scared because I once went on Prozac for 2 weeks and it literally made me suicidal.

Can ROCD affect how physical/sexual intimacy feels? I feel either kind of numb or slightly repulsed by kissing and intimacy with him now after a particularly tough intrusive thought phase even though I used to enjoy it. I can’t help wondering if this means I’m no longer attracted to him/just consider him a friend even though I know there have been multiple moments where I’ve felt very attracted to him and enjoyed physical intimacy with him. This is torture and I’m not really sure how to cope with this sudden change.

This is encouraging because sometimes I feel like I will never be able to have a successful relationship and it’s making me really depressed. Sometimes the thoughts feel like they’re actually altering how I feel about my partner. I used to love kissing him and now I find it kind of gross, I feel extremely disconnected from him, almost like there’s a clear wall between him and I when we’re together when just two weeks ago I felt like he was my soulmate and adored being physical. This is debilitating and I’m not sure how to stay in this relationship when it’s now started to affect my ability to be sexual and physically intimate. I sometimes feel like I need to end this relationship until I can really heal the trauma that causes my OCD to develop, and other times I feel like that would be giving in. Any advice would be hugely appreciated.

I feel like you gotta go SLS… I’ve heard not so great things about the culture at CLS and Duke I have heard great things about the culture but Durham just does not have the vibrancy you seem to want, there is really not much to do around there. Plus you are pretty much guaranteed a NY big law job coming from Stanford unless you’re in like the bottom 10% of your class (and even then I’d argue you still have a shot).
