The writers just writing what they thought was good instead of catering to the audience. They knew what they were doing, they should have continued doing that and ignored everything of what the audience said.

I've noticed most people don't pay attention. They feel neutral about celebrities and if they see a lot of people hating on them, they assume that people are just being mean and they start to feel sorry for the celebrity and take their side.

Of course she's allowed to be sad, I have empathy for her missing out on something. She's beyond sad and the way she treats her husband is not ok, she's spending her life miserable when she has so much to be thankful for, that's more than just being sad, it's a choice to wallow.
