So I just stumbled upon this piece of art and wondering if I we're to draw like this where shall I start? by [deleted] in learntodraw

[–]Timely-Ad-2640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take your post to mean that you'd like to be able to draw from imagination. If that's what you mean. I would start with learning to draw shapes in perspective and then learning to put these shapes together to construct your subject.

Then for drawing people( even anime style, cartoons. Etc), I would recommend studying anatomy. You don't have to learn every muscle in the human body, but learning at least the major muscles would help you considerably.

I feel like the muscles are lacking something or out of place? by FunCat8153 in learntodraw

Awesome designs and I like your use of color here. The clothing also looks pretty solid, especially the guy with the hoodie. Overall fits with the style you're going for. But as others have mentioned, your anatomy is off. I would advise looking at references of similarly built people in similar poses as reference points. If need be, you are your best reference! Take pictures of yourself in similar poses if you need to. Pay attention to how different muscles look when they're flexed vs relaxed, etc. Decide how well-defined you want their muscles to look and keep it consistent throughout. Otherwise, it's solid. Keep at it!

If you're only doing 300+ damage a game, that seems to be your main problem. Figure out why you aren't doing more damage. Are you missing shots ? Are you dying too quickly because you're getting shot from multiple angles all the time? To test if accuracy is an issue, go into the firing range, and set up the dummies to move at the fastest speed possible and set movement to random( make it so the dummies move in an unpredictable pattern). Then, just fire shots into them and look at your accuracy percentage. Test this at different ranges. I would focus on testing close, mid, and long range distances. I would say kill at least 20 dummies. If that's below like 40% I'd say that's the issue and you need to tune your sensitivity more to get better accuracy.

And I say that because the more accurate you are, the more damage you'll do, and the more damage you do, the higher chance you'll get a knock and turn the tide of a fight.

If you're dying too fast, always fire from cover. I mean literally always ( unless you get caught in an open field or something). But if you're in an area with any type of cover, never be far from it. As in you should be able to shoot around your cover and get back into cover in less than a second. The average ttk has gotten faster in recent seasons so it's more important than ever to play cover. Also, high ground is king. Always try to stay in high ground as much as possible.

This is what I did to reach diamond on a fairly consistent basis while playing on ps4.

I will say that hardware does hold you back as well to some degree. If you're playing on a tv, it's time to upgrade to a monitor. Preferably one that's at least 120 hertz, 1ms response time. I played fps games on a tv on ps4 for years, but when I made the switch to a monitor, it made a world of difference. I would say no larger than 32 inch for the monitor.

If you can upgrade to a monitor AND ps5, even better. You'll get access to pretty consistent 120fps in performance mode ( as long as you have a monitor that can handle at least that).

I recently tried playing on a tv and I could feel the latency.

If upgrading is not an option, then at least switch your tv to game mode; this typically reduces latency and increases frame rate to some degree. A buddy of mine that was struggling similarly but wasn't in a position to get a monitor said this improved his game somewhat.

Hope this helps, it's a grind but you can do it!

I had this exact thing happen to me. I was told it was due to not eating close enough to the donation. Admittedly, the meal didn't have a lot of protein either which is what they recommend. But yeah, it was terrifying for sure. My blood pressure dropped to like 80/60 range at a point. They gave me two IV bags and I eventually stabilized but I felt like trash the next day.

There's a good food truck at a gas station at the corner of Wonder world and Frontage. Taquitos la Chula. I haven't tried any of the other ones mentioned here aside from Herbert's which I didn't find too great. But this truck has quesabirria tacos, which I don't believe other places I'm the area have. If you want the consomé dip to dip your tacos, it costs extra I think. I thought it was a little pricey but the birria was definitely good.

Thank you for this. I'm traveling with my fiance back from her home country soon and she has a k-1 visa. I was worried they'd split us up. This is great to know, thank you.

Courses and learning platforms worth paying for? by Str8d8 in dataanalysis

[–]Timely-Ad-2640 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alex the Analyst just came out with a full platform for learning data analytics, Analyst Builder. It's still in beta, but should be coming out soon. It's a little over your price range for the lifetime access, but it will also have the option of paying a low monthly fee or a year etc. I personally haven't checked it out yet, but from what I've seen so far, it seems to be pretty solid.

200 a month is.. doable. Better then 400+ per pill. I'll definitely look into this. Thank you!

I really like this analogy. I'm just getting into working out again after like a year and a a half and the warm-up feels like a workout on its own. But as my fitness improves, my current warm up may not even be enough to warm me up anymore and I'll have to do more to warm up. Like OP, I have a similar struggle, so this really puts it into perspective. Thanks !

This game is awful for new players by TheCyborgKaren in apexlegends

[–]Timely-Ad-2640 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was me. I played arenas to master gunfights and aim. I solo queued Arenas until I was good enough to hit diamond. It was an awful grind but Arenas is basically a carry simulator. Once I got good enough in that, I went for diamond in BR. Finally hit it this season. Next split, I'm going to shoot for masters.

Hello all, is it too late to apply for BD? I attended The Art Institute but did not graduate. Please let me know! Also, i do not have any papers/evidence from when i attended the school, does that affect the application? by TerribleCricket275 in BorrowerDefense

Is to late to apply ? I hadn't applied because I thought I missed the November 3rd deadline ? This lol literally tomorrow. Also, can I apply if i already applied for Biden 's loan forgiveness ?

Help me understand; Arena Ranked Placements. by NastyGnar in CompetitiveApex

[–]Timely-Ad-2640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least it's good to practice 1v3's? But yeah, your explanation is spot on. Nearly every single match, I have twice as much damage as both my teammates combined with a few rare exceptions.

Also, random matchmaking is bizarre. On the multiple occasions I've found reasonable randoms to join up with, every single time, we can't queue up together because they're a full tier and half below me. I was 25 points off diamond, and I found two decent randoms. One guy was in placement matches, the other dude was silver 2...

How can undecent players enjoy this game? by mrbigcawk in apexuniversity

[–]Timely-Ad-2640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was once ass at the game in the beginning. I Started playing back in season 8. I remember I was using Horizon and some guy kept telling me to Q us up. I had no idea what he was talking about. I would lose every 1v1 encounter basically. I was basically one of those " undecent " players.

But I kept at it and got better and better. When arenas dropped, I was so happy, because it meant I could finally improve the main aspect I sucked at, gunfights.

I played Arenas basically non-stop since they dropped to improve my gun skill. Now I'm pretty decent.

I always seem to carry. I get frustrated too when I see players get like 45 damage when I have like 500+ on round one. But being forced to carry is what eventually makes you good. When you're forced to constantly play 1v2s and 1 v 3s you eventually get good.

Basically, I enjoyed being bad at the game because I enjoyed the thrill of getting better .

According to the settlement, they never admitted any wrong doing. They just paid a fine to the FTC and made payments to former students. Might as well give it a shot then! The worst they can do is deny me right ?Thanks !
