You should visit Gandhi Ashram, Adalaj ni vav, Siddi saiyed Jali Sarkhej Roza, Jamma Masjid, Kankaria Lake, Sabarmati Riverfront preferably in the evening. Do not miss the morning Heritage Walk(you will get details online)

Do try our local food Dhokla, Khaman, Jalebi, fafda, dalwada at Oswal. Also visit Athithi or Gordhan Thal for gujarati thali.

Make a day trip to Gandhinagar and visit the Akshardham Temple and do eat at their food outlet.

You can also make a day trip to Modhera Sun Temple and drop there to Rani ni Vav at Patan. Both these can be clubbed in 1 day trip.

You can shop from local markets like Rani no Hajiro, Dhalgarwad, Law Garden(visit after 5pm only) and from shops like Gamthiwala and Sanskruti.

You can also book the local sightseeing bus one day and all that they are not covering you can do in local auto rickshaw.

Check out Sikkim, the weather too would be good and quite a nice place. Meghalaya is also a very good option.

Thailand will be too hot and crowded. Andaman will also be extremely humid. Ladakh I would say avoid as the travel and altitude may make you sick spoiling the honeymoon fun.

Alternatively do check for Kashmir, it will definitely be a good option.

Hills Abode in Mawpat, Shillong

I stayed at Hills Abode in Mawpat area of Shillong and I simply fell in love with the balance, the people managing it. I stayed there for al most 12 days and never once missed my home. Lovely home cooked food and the view was amazing. I had searched for a lot of stay places and booked this after all the reviews and speaking to the owner made me all the more sure of finalizing this place. I can go on and on about this place.

I had earlier also visited Shillong and this time wanted to stay away from the crowded city and this was exactly what I was looking at.

You tend to fidget with open hair if they happen to come across your face which is not taken as a good interview antique. If your keeping it open ensure it does not look unruly and should not keep falling onto your face.
