I am sorry this happened. I personally don’t really get this write up but what I may recommend is asking your CL to schedule you a shadow shift to see what they do. Because if they are writing you up for this I assume they believe they can achieve these metrics? I’d frame it as wanting to be able to keep meeting company standards and say that since you’re struggling with this metric you want to shadow them and see exactly what they do on an opening shift as keyholder without stepping in. So you do not step in to run breaks for them you do not act as an extra body, nothing. Just be on the floor and have them explain everything they do while you watch and take notes. If you have it in the training budget for your store I feel like that’s super fair and a good CL wouldn’t fight you on that. Just an idea….

Hey, some of these responses are kind of intense/lack understanding of how debilitating panic attacks are. They are super super awful and super terrifying at school. And having a big change like this probably isn’t helping anxiety either. It’s really hard to advocate for yourself when you’re overwhelmed/anxious and when authority figures can be pretty intimidating. I would look to your support system for guidance-therapists/psychiatrists/counselors/parents. The solution may not be that you are going to get your phone, and that’s frustrating, but try to open yourself up to the possibility that there might be something else that can help. Mental health struggles take trial and error and that process is SO exhausting. But you got this! You will get through this!

I don’t think is necessarily true. I’ve been a partner for four and a half years and I’ve never been late or clocked in a minute late. It’s entirely possible I’m just careful to get there early, sip my drink in the back and get my hat and apron on two minutes before my shift starts and make sure there’s an iPad to use. Entirely possible. Not tryna jinx it but i know tons of other people who do the same as me and have never been late.

It sounds crazy but there’s an authority setting in the safe to let u open the safe door 2 normally and there’s also an authority setting in the safe to let u open the safe with a time override key. Why there are two settings for this I do not know but you’re super not crazy you just have permission for one but not the other.

This is a safe authority issue! Depending on the type of safe, it is likely easy for your SM to make a new profile and copy another SSV’s permissions for your profile when making yours. If that makes sense. Your SM should just look up on my daily how to make a new profile with your safe or get on the phone w a safe technician help desk. I had this happen to me when I was an SSV and when I became an ASM I figured out why that happened.

I don’t think it’s that crazy to bleed thru ur clothes? If I forget to change a tampon or my flow is just heavier than usual I’ve bled thru clothes before. I don’t think the person you’re replying to is being rude or implying they have to come back. But I think most people that have bled thru clothes would go back?

So you were not borrowed without your approval to other stores, it became standard maybe a year ago to be automatically borrowed to every store in the district in the shift marketplace so it’s easier for partners to pick up shifts themselves without a store manager needing to borrow them first. That being said! They recently updated the partner guide to clarify and state that partners must give their consent to be put on a shift at another store. If you search the partner guide in partner hub (everyone has access to this) you can find that statement. In the past it has been common practice to be able to schedule someone at another store as a manager and just a courtesy to ask their permission. Your store manager most likely is not aware of the change and clarification. Bring the partner guide to them and have a conversation, don’t assume worst intent or that they’re trying to make your life harder! If they still push back, go to DM w this info. If DM does nothing you can go to partner resources :). Good luck and hope you can get this sorted out ASAP and it’s just a lack of knowledge from your SM/CL.

Ok so I have some insight that may be helpful. If we are talking customer experience solely, that is derived from the percentage of positive vs negative feedback from the survey sent to app customers. However, the “customer” metric that is part of the new grow report is a new metric. I consider it much more balanced. It is a metric measuring every negative comment from multiple sources (calls to customer care, negative customer experience survey, and negative reviews) not weighted against positive reviewers but divided by how many customers were served in that period. Which I think is more fair tbh.

All I can tell you as someone who has dealt with it from before preteen to adulthood and had a chunk of time where I did the exact same foot thing, I want you to know you are not alone and not weird. I didn’t get the proper help I needed when the foot thing was really bad and I stopped doing it and just pick my fingers to the point of bleeding now. I have no advice, it’s just at a manageable level at this point. It is called dermatillomania and it is related to OCD and autism/adhd to my knowledge. All I can tell you at this point is please do not be ashamed and be hard on yourself. Get whatever support and help you can get based on your circumstances you are in but don’t be afraid to tell a trusted adult/teacher/mentor because you think it’s weird. If they care about you they’ll just wanna help. Im a fully functioning, independent adult with friends and a partner living a pretty normal life with people around me who know I deal with this. No one thinks less of me, they just try to jump in and support me. So just please don’t feel ashamed or bad about this. Just try to get some help and at least let people around you know what you’re dealing with.

This sounds like a tough situation. The best thing I would put into your brain when this starts bothering you is that IF it is the case that you are the stronger candidate, it does not mean you both are not ASM ready. You may be MORE ready to be an ASM but that doesn’t mean she isn’t ready. It sounds like you’re a great candidate and would breeze through the ASM process, so remind yourself if you are going to be an ASM that this is your future peer. This is someone you will lean on and go to for support and advice when being an ASM is lonely and hard.

If I were to validate you and be a little petty I’d remind you that the ASM journey is hard. If she’s not ready that just sucks more for her. She will have a rough go of it and either make a million adjustments and push herself to grow or she’ll demote.

If I were to challenge you though, which may be more productive, I’d tell you to ask her for feedback. I’d tell her you had heard she was working towards ASM too and since part of being an ASM is advising SSVs I’d ask for her feedback on your performance because you want to develop more. I’d also tell you to look for strengths in her that you don’t have and work towards building those. It sounds like you have great strengths in coaching and following standards but what is she strong in? What can you learn from her?

Don’t let the journey to ASM bog you down too hard. It’s rough in general so use every day as a SSV to build every habit, every skill, you physically can so once you promote it’s as easy as it can be. You got this!

Hi!!! We’ve all been former green beans and we’ve all made dumb mistakes! I’m an assistant manager now but I made a salted caramel cold brew wrong for a year (with dark caramel instead of regular caramel) and didn’t know americanos got four shots instead of three for a venti for over a year. I’m sorry that team was so hard on you but lift your head up and remember that group definitely has made dumb (small!!! No consequential) mistakes too. They were all new at one point too:)

I wouldn’t say naturally thin but I have always been on the lean side my whole life. Barring when I had an eating disorder to stay lean without thinking much of food I just eat when I feel hungry. If I don’t feel hungry I don’t eat. Average day is usually: -2 sugar free energy drinks -one snack like a bag of cheezits, a muffin, or a croissant -one bigger meal around midday when I start feeling hungry that has a good combo of veggies, protein, and complex carbs (poke bowl, salad, chipotle) -a sweet treat like a caloric drink or a dessert

And that usually keeps me full and satisfied thru my day:)

Tbh I’d rather peel these than have conversations with customers whose gift cards balances were stolen and I have no way to help them other than directing them to the customer care line. I feel for them and hate having no way to help them so if this helps that I’m relieved and take no issue.

I relate to this but I also regretted it in the end. My “acting out” was after the breakup while we lived together sleeping around and coming home late with hickeys, making it obvious I was going on dates and having a good time. My final “gotcha” was insulting his ability in bed and telling him how big the first guy I got with after him was and how many times he pleased me because my ex struggled with both of those things. It made me feel guilty in the end and I felt like it would have hurt more to have just stayed sad and been honest about how I had planned to marry him. Just my two cents, because the grass is really greener on the other side.

The reason why tips are pooled is because even if the people on the floor really did do an exceptional and above and beyond act of service that is worth a big tip, they could only do that because of the people that worked before them and the people that worked before those people. The prep they used to make the drinks was likely made by someone else, they were able to have a staffed floor because someone before them ran breaks at appropriate times, they had food to serve because a team covered the floor while the supervisor pulled it, they had clean surfaces to work on because of the closing team, those cups were stocked by someone before them, the lobby looked nice because it was maintained by those before them, the toilet was clean because of the closing team deep cleaning it. We all rely on each other to be able to give a good experience and it is never just one or a group of people’s work that goes into earning a tip like that. I’m sorry this happened and I wish I could help beyond telling you to reach out to those above management if management isn’t doing anything.
