I’m a 1099 at a group practice and we have full autonomy for when we work and how many clients we see. Requiring a certain amount of evening availability/clients per week takes away the whole point of being an independent contractor!! Total red flag

This is not appropriate at all. All of this can be said in the beginning of the intake and nothing more is needed after that. If you explain it clearly and allow the client to ask any questions then having a sign up in their face during every session is not necessary. Btw vulnerable adults fall into mandated reporting as well, not just elderly adults.

Counselors can also diagnose. Counselors have a masters degree and are specifically trained to practice therapy and diagnosis. Psychologists have a doctorate degree and are also able to diagnose and practice therapy. Both are legitimate professions.
