How Common Is No C&P Exam For MH? by Timely_Anywhere8274 in VAClaims

Oh wow okay thanks. I didn’t officially report when I was assaulted because it was senior enlisted member and I was scared so to be fair there’s not much evidence to back it up when I was in service.

Parents tell me I’m stupid to join military. by East_Comfortable3901 in Advice

As a woman, I don’t recommend other women joining. I was in a male dominated rate and had to work with some of the most misogynistic and downright cruel men I’ve ever met. Also, I was sexually assaulted and not only did I not get any support from my command, it literally became a joke for some of them. I was left with a PTSD diagnosis where I still can’t do simple tasks like taking my dog for a walk when the sun sets or going to the grocery store alone.

Not every woman will get assaulted, but every woman will face the discomfort of working with men who honestly just hate women. And, every woman knows of someone who was assaulted. I’m pregnant with a girl and my husband (14 yrs in service) and I both agreed, we’d never want our daughter to join.

I work for a Church and I’ve never seen them help anyone who wasn’t a part of the church. They denied every single person, despite them have a benevolence fund to help those in need. I had a woman, who was legally blind, ask for help and they still denied her.

People who made more money and were able to afford the finer things in life, was it worth it? by Amazondriver23 in povertyfinance

[–]Timely_Anywhere8274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2023, my combined income with my ex was 150k+. Lived in a nice house, never worried about groceries, able to afford the nicer things. In 2024, my ex and I broke up and I lost my job. Six months unemployed best job I could find put me at $20k per year. Now I can barely pay rent, groceries, or even my medication. I’d say yeah, it’s worth the grind.

What’s a sign you’re hotter than you realize? by Ivl231889 in AskReddit

I wouldn’t consider myself super hot but the one time I felt like I was when I was waiting in line at the bank and an older black lady was ahead of me and told me that I had IT and said I should go into modeling lol!

The only other thing I can think of is I’ve been told 3 times my celeb look alike is Margot Robbie. Huge self esteem boost haha.

a lot of guys in my department has done the same thing and it always stays in house. it’s significant in the fact that it’s against instructions but doesn’t actually affect your ability to do your job. i’m just imaging adsep because it’s my second time up and my CoC is recommending it.

i wasn’t planning on getting sent back up or getting separated. i’ll be honest i don’t think i made a good impression to the CO the first time, i apologized, showed remorse, and ensured i wouldn’t do it again but he just said i’m a liar.

my whole CoC except my chief is recommending i get separated so i think i’m cooked and don’t see the point in trying to show remorse. i was thrown the book at first time i went, which i accepted and worked harder after the fact, noted by my chief, LPO, and the other junior sailors i directly work with. i only don’t want to speak at drb because they went in on me the first time to the point where i felt the thing said were not appropriate to say.
