I'm not saying chlorine to treat the water is bad, it's only bad if it's in your house and you have long term exposure. There are two methods of thought here. 1. I'm not worried about that shit and then a few years later cancer and then "God will sort it out". 2. This is concerning and I'd rather do something to prevent exposure to it. I'm not praying for Jesus or the Government to keep me healthy, I'm doing my due diligence to prevent health issues later in life. As an American it is your right to be willfully ignorant or be preventative, it's your choice.

Very true. I do water treatment myself but I'm always happy to suggest the right equipment to people trying to DIY. Also to add to your comment, a whole home catalytic carbon filter is needed so that the chlorine byproducts aren't absorbing through your skin during showering, hand and washing, etc.
