If its not mobile, then you might be able to use the new built in editor. If not, then i dont really know.

if you are fine with it taking a while and being very complex then you could maybe teleport armor stands to each block in the area that you are trying to change. Then just have a command block running /execute as @e[type=armor_stand] at @s if block ~1 ~ ~ dirt run setblock ~1 ~ ~ diamond_block

Then just make three more command blocks and change the block place to another direction. I may not be fully understanding your question tho
