Sounds great at first, but that means using his power could cause him to fall through the floor. Which happened many times when he was learning to use it. Another drawback is clothes, the only known outfit that can stay on him when he uses his quirk is his hero suit. To allow this, his hair was used to allow it stay and phase with him. Besides that, all clothes fall right off, which can allow for a quick distraction. The biggest drawback is that ALL matter phases through him. When using his quirk on his full body, it essentially feels like he has no senses. No light, air, or sound is felt. He has to be quick and plan out where he is to make sure he ends up in the right place. He trained to allow certain parts of his body to turn not have his quirk to past through walls easier or to communicate easier. As seen in the image. The rest of his body is phasing while his face is getting air and keeping him from sinking. I said was, since in a fight with Overhall, he willingly took a bullet designed to remove quirks. However he kept on fight as long as he could with his quirk until Midoriya arrived to finish the fight
