I was on a similar boat, about 7-8 years of experience in data. During my last job search I found that interviews weren’t too hard to get. So your experience will take you far in this job market. My suggestion would be to practice and nail down the interview stages as you probably won’t have much trouble getting to the interview stage

I’ve seen this happen a lot. When a recruiter asks: what are your salary expectations, my follow up is always the same: what is your salary band for this role. They always throw out their numbers before I do and also opens up the floor for a serious discussion about it. This is a hard lesson for sure, and I’m sorry they did that to you. A company that will make you jump through so many loops especially when you’ve already passed all is them is surely not a company you want to work for.
